Started my new save today.

Had to race cityslicker10 to mum and dads to get it

9:34pm, walked in the door. Raced to find the N64 and set it up.
10:11pm, bed time. Great Deku Tree completed and Saria gave me the shitty ocarina.

I remember when I got RE4 on my Cube.

I refused to play that game at night.

gamecube was very underated. Re4 was my favourite game on the system closely followed by Timesplitters 2

Yeh TS2 was basically GoldenEye multiplayer's spiritual successor.

Doing it with the western jets in the TAC cup, spent the day watching some decent footy (Aussie rules), enjoying the weather and having some bantz with the boys

Snowboard kids 2 - seems to hover around 200
Paper Mario - Over 100

Couldn't you just use an emulator and play the ganes for free?

Yup. Think Project 64 is the best one out there

The problem with n64 emulators is searching for the right graphics plugins and controller plugins. It can get a bit fiddly at times. Having said that I do have an emulator to play the goldeneye hack, Goldeneye X. People should check it out, its a great expansion of the original goldeneye with all new multiplayer levels a long with the ability to play against computer players.

I think I may still be traumatised by the first resident evil.

That game transformed the genre IMO. Way ahead of its time.

So this is the title of the chapter I have to read for one of my units at uni this week.



I won't lie, I was staring at my screen for a solid 30 seconds in disbelief at the title, then I had a solid misogynistic giggle.

Played some more last night. Got fxxxed over by the fact I forgot Darunia would want to hear Saria's Song, and because I [obviously] ignored Navi, I didn't LISTEN to her tell me to go to Saria. So I made it all the way to Darunia, before I had to go all the way back to the Lost Woods :lol:

Didn't bother getting the Hylian Shield for Dodongo's Cavern. Thought I'd be careful enough in there to avoid losing the Deku Shield, but as I was jumping up a block, a fire-bat got me the bastard. Finished, got the Goron Ruby (fark me the boss in the Cavern is straight up the easiest boss in the entire game. You can literally stand still for hours and he'll roll around, not hurting you. It's stupid how easy he is).

My question is: is there anything I NEED the Deku Shield for? I'm thinking of rocking the rest of the game as a child without one, see how that goes. Apart from some enemies that shoot stuff that you'd want to rebound, I can't think of any reason to get a new one. And I figure with the slingshot, plus the boomerang coming up, I should be able to kill the rebound guys anyway, right?

Im currently half way through the forest temple

I feel like once I get to the water temple, the game will be so much more fun due to the fact that I'll be able to transport most places within an instant. This constant to-and-from running everywhere is freaking frustrating. Makes me vaguely remember how frustrating Wind Waker was in that it took forever to get anywhere in that boat :lol:

Im binge-ing on the weekend too. The Mrs is at work all day Friday and Monday I at least want to have the shadow temple done by the end of monday
