WFMB: Double time and a half on Anzac Day and I'm workin'
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

I would not of liked anything bigger, because we won't be filling it up. Either will Storm, and either will Heart. And when Socceroos come down, they can always play at a Rectangular Etihad....

Do you really think that the state government will pour more money into extending the stadium when there are already two bigger venues in melbourne? You need your head read.

In all honesty if both teams were getting 30k a week to AAMI Stadium we would see a third Melbourne team before we saw an upgrade.

I thought the bubble dome was purposely built so it could be upgraded?

It was...but the roof wasn't, will cost as much as building a new stadium to upgrade it as far as i can remember.

Quote:we shall see afro we shall see. hell if they want the w.c they kinda need to upgrade stadia . If we get the WC they can't use more than two stadiums in once city...and they'll use the two biggest - Etihad and the MCG. Quote:It was...but the roof wasn't, will cost as much as building a new stadium to upgrade it as far as i can remember. Yeah, the roof will basically need to be completely rebuilt at the goal ends to enable any expansion, with the way it's set for structural support that's next to impossible without spending as much money as it would cost to completely start over.

WFMB: The looks of disbelief after I scored from 35m out. Nothing was happening so I took a shot, miss-hit it and the ball rolled straight pass the defenders and goalkeeper who just watched it. Everyone including me (as I didn't expect the shot to go in let alone get past the defenders after I miss-hit it) just stood there and stared at the ball in the net wondering how that had just happened.

I had a similar thing happen years back. The ball rolled to me on the edge of the box and I had heaps of time, and thought, 'I'm going to smash the shit out of this', and when I connected, I mis-hit it badly, and as it rolled towards goal, a defender lunged to clear it, but it went through his legs and in the process blocked the keeper's view and it just rolled in. I think I had too much time to think about it.

That's awesome chillbilly. Reminds me of a long-range strike I took in highschool. Tackled the opposition midfielder, he went to ground but I won the ball cleanly, stepped over him, took three paces and there was nothing in front of me so I wound up and had a crack...top corner and the keeper didn't even see it. Biggest "what the fuckdid I just do that?" moment.
WFMB: Poker tonight.
