I can understand why you might do this, but is it really necessary to show them before you even get to the front page?

Also, the 25 (30?) second delay is too much. 10 seconds would be more appropriate.

I can't even see them, using Firefox, so it's just an annoying delay.

Just go straight to the forums?

It doesn't worry me much, just pointing out they exist really.

Even if you try to go to the forums it goes to it.

Try using Google Chrome. Not only is it a better browser (in my opinion), but I've not seen any of these interstitial thingies yet.

Hi All

We're just trying to raise a bit more awareness when the mag goes on sale.

It's capped at one view per user every three days....so in a week if you come here every day you should see it twice. It's also only running for the first week of the on sale period.

The more mags we sell....the better this web site gets. I hope it's not too much of an intrusion.

Like all website ads (like IGN etc) there is a "skip this ad" button at the top. Just click that.

Its not that much of a hassle.

Ah, I was wondering what the ads were actually for (as they didn't show for me). Much better than just being some random ad for Nike shoes or something.

Really? Because I've seen it 3 times today alone. I'm not bothered by it, i just hit the skip button, but I just thought I'd let you know...

It's probably kept via a cookie, so if you clear them or use different PC's or browsers they might get cleared and show the ad again. Or might be IP based, and a new session might change it.
