I'm looking for a mixed (ie male and female)team competition for next year. Can anyone direct me to a directory or list of teams in the Western Sydney region that actually competes in a mixed comp?

Google is not helping me at all.

Depends where abouts you live and what your looking for.
Are you looking for a 7 a side comp, indoor or a club side. Are you wanting a serious thing, to meet new people or just something to do with your mates next year?

Not indoor. And at the moment I'm open to whatever is out there in regards to team numbers.

I guess "semi" serious is what I would describe what I want.

Looking around the Liverpool, Fairfield type areas and maybe even Blacktown, Parramatta, if there is nothing else.
(I'm in Bossley Park myself).

Not sure you will find a mixed football comp in adults other than indoor. Try contacting Southern Districts Soccer Association, they will let you know.
