I bought a long sleeve Liverpool home jersey off ebay and was given an authentic long sleeve Liverpool away jersey by a friend coming back from England and I cannot tell the difference in quality.

I don't see the purpose in buying a fake shirt. I mean...it's not like buying a fake rolex where it's immitating a famous designer brand. You're screwing a club you claim to love out of money...It's like getting a fake tan. It's just tacky.
