kruse has australian youth experience yes (so does zullo doesnt he?) however so have an aweful lot of other players around the country, including chriss grossman who has seen very little game time this season and ben griffin who has had a very poor season. So clearly youth international experience is not an indicator of senior team football ability and Frank Farina, like all other a-league coaches, knows this and although they may have had a reputation at junior levels, that means nothing when it comes to senior level football and i can guarantee you that the kids in the roar side would not be on alot of money at all. As for Zullo's reputation in the local competition... dude your not seriously comparing the local competition to the a-league are you? A slight difference in quality there mate.
I'm not taking anything away from the roar boys, they have been outstanding and a big part of the reason why we are on the verge of the premiership, but that doesn't change the fact that they where all relitive unkowns at the start of the season. They where completely unproven footballers. Clearly people could see their potential, but people use to say that ben griffin has alot of potential, and he has been crap this season for the roar

Who knows Kruse and Zullo were signed as unknowns? You are kidding, right? Kruse has been representing Australia's youth squad's for a while, and had big wraps on him for a while. And, Zullo was also getting wraps playing in the local competition. We just didn't know he'd come on so quickly.

Craig Moore and John Aloisi have done that, I can't see why he wouldn't. Then again, Moorey and Aloisi didn't have that many shots at Europe. Moorey in his Ranger days maybe but not Johnny. ANYWAY.
It's up to Chippers as to whether he wants to enjoy the comforts of home. Ummmm ECL is just a tad better than ACL...

He would be a brilliant signing particularly seeing as how my faith in Andy Packer's ability as a left-back has been somewhat questioned in recent weeks. Plus I'm pretty sure Andy's not naturally left-footed like Chippers. If it was true, hallelujah.
As for Oggers? True perhaps, but there's been a rumour like this before. It was 'categorically denied' by his agent. It's quite unlikely.
Other question with Chippers in the wage issue. Would he fit in under the salary cap? Every team in the league has a marquee now and well, I guess if he wants to play in the A-League he'll have to take a pay cut.
I don't think the Swiss league is the highest paying in the world so that may give us an advantage in signing him, or any other A-League club for that matter. Then again I'd say he's pretty key to FC Basel. We shall see.
Love to have him in any case.

its amazing how things can change though. Like many socceroo's who played under frank farina chippers may have just enough respect for the man to consider playing for the roar as opposed to sydney (and a woolongong team doesn't even exist, and look even remotely close to begining to exist). Also money can change things too...
As for the og monster moving... i dunno i guess its possible but i would think the roar would be willing to throw a significant pay rise at him to keep him. Also the roar took him from no where to being one of the best defenders in the league, big sash seems to be the sorta bloke who respects that kinda thing

Why should I believe you when you can't even use proper english? Chipperfield to QLD Roar is a complete joke. There are already plenty of left-sided wingers in the squad. Unless there is some unknown news that possibly Zullo and/or McKay are departing the Roar, I find this very hard to believe. And how often are we going to hear these "Ognenovski to Melbourne or Adelaide" rumours for? If you can see the rumour has been posted by someone else on the rumour mill then don't bother putting it up there again. If you haven't seen it, look harder. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Chipperfield 2 QLD, ognenovski to MVFC/AUFC [RUMOUR]? Have your say.
