What a great season - Can you belive that Melbourne and Sydney are going to clash in the Preiership decider on the last game of the year!!!!!!!
This is THE BIGGEST DOMESTIC CLUB GAME ever staged in Australia. It is amazing that all those years ago we would of been dreaming of being able to field such technically advanced teams in a match of this magnitude.
Lavicta has raised the bar for endurance while the Hernandez/Thompson led attack of victory has raised the standard of attack - yet again.
Bring it on! Sydney 2 - 0 MV ;)

The wonderfull nation of Australia is gearing up for the finals. After the blockbuster on Sunday where the Biggest Game in Australian Club Football will be decided - its on to the championship.
Its great to see the once mighty Perth getting back in the mix, definatly could sneak in and surprise alot of punters. But my moneys still on the big three this season. SFC seem likley.
Bring it ON!!!!

Kapiniaris: I love Olympic Australian comedian and entertainer George Kapiniaris has talked of his passion for Sydney Olympic ahead of the upcoming 2010 NSW Premier League season. Kapiniaris, who has appeared on TV series such as Underbelly, Acropolis Now and The Flying Doctors said: "I love Olympic. I am from Melbourne but grew up supporting both South Melbourne and Sydney Olympic." He added: "I remember the atmosphere at the Olympic matches of the past. I would love to see the big crowds return to watch this historic club" Kapiniaris is currently performing his 'GEORGE ROCKSTAR' show at venues throughout the country. You can catch him in Sydney on the 5th March at Club Maroni. For more information visit his official website www.georgekapiniaris.com http://www.sydneyolympicfc.com/content/view/241/1/

Yes I would give my support 5000 times over to the A-league. Im glad you noticed, see Im not as clever as you, but Its good to see that you appreciate the passion of Australias premier footballing competion.
Like anything, change and evolution was hard, but it always is rewarding after the hard work is done.
Are you excited by Sydneys big chance to topple Melbourne!

PAOKTZI wrote:hahahaha no one cares about sydnye smell the coffee whe naustralia gets smacked in the world cup what happens then???????? Steady on some people care about Sydney Olympic. Many people are passionate and still supprt thier clubs in the State leagues around Australia. You should be not so quick as to dismiss them or thier fans. To be Honest, I have no Idea what will happen to Sydney Olympic after the Worldcup. I can only imagine Australia getting knocked out early would really hit the club hard in terms of memberships perhaps, as the increased interest in our game may not be as large as after 2006

PAOKTZI wrote:a-league has massive problems until ffa unite old football and new football nothing will happen understand glen the butcher smith You say the the A-League is dying... so why would we want to see some old NSL clubs back in where the average would plummet? 10,000 average for this "rough patch" is still pretty good. Crowds will come up. AS I said lots of leagues have this but the numbers come back.

I'm loving the spamming Glenn but I have to burst your bubble:lol: Perth had more support in the late 90's-00's than Victory do now. They were regularly getting 30k at Subiaco.

That was only because there was nothing else to follow. lol But seriously why keep this flame war going. Ignore the little blighters and move on. They have nothing to contribute to and National League conversation and only keep going because they want to tell all their Friends how hardcore they are.

PAOKTZI wrote:a-league has massive problems until ffa unite old football and new football nothing will happen understand glen the butcher smith Sounds interesting, the Cup competition that gets rehashed every couple of months usually has state teams in the format. But why at this early stage when the A-league has grown into a solid foundation, would they risk damaging it by allowing state league teams to compete. I think the FFA, after the A-league has finished its final expansion, should then turn attention to strengthening the state leagues and raising thier standard of play to the level of the A-league, then teams might be able to promote to the league without being blown off the park.
