Very good move if he is going to get first team game time. After all, Luke Wilkshire is a decent Socceroo and he is plying his trade there. If Milligan can use this as a stepping stone, he could end up making a move to a Dutch giant club or to one of the big 3 European leagues. Good move, right move especially considering the direction the national team has taken in the last few years and looks to continue.

I agree this this. Milligan has potential, but needs to be educated in more of a technical environment. The dutch system will help alot for his game. Plus the dutch mentality will resolve his weaknesses.

Although Twente is not a massive club in a big league, it will be a great stepping stone for him to make. After a ill-fated experience at Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam, Jason Culina went to Twente and rebuilt his career - moving swiftly onto another dutch giant PSV Eindhoven. I'm sure Culina would recommend such a move - if its a true one.

Love to see this move, even as Sydney fan. Good way for him to develop as player, hope its true.

I think a club like twente could we a good option , Milligan has a big future but he has a lot of parts of his game that needs rounding , , he annoys me a bit when he kicks the shit out of the ball to nowere ,but with good coaching he can go far and twente is a good start IMO.

He can go better than Twente.
