South to battle for the championship with Altona
Oakleigh, Heidelberg and Richmond will be in danger of relegation
Melbourne Knights should be OK
Dandenong the biggest dissapointment - should make the finals
Bentleigh will be the bolter
Hume - well - lets just hope their won't be a car park shooting this year
Altona - will be strong as always
Northcote will be safe and suprise
Green Gully will also be dissapointing
NTS???????????? who gives a shit - waste of space
Perhaps Melbourne Heart can offer us some info on these guys:-"
Oh and the summer league to break down entirely

South Melbourne FC is delighted to launch its 2010 Membership Campaign. The club continues its focus on generating new members and providing added value to its current loyal membership base. South Melbourne FC recently announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the State Government for the redevelopment of Bob Jane Stadium into the new State Athletics Centre and subsequent commercial and infrastructure arrangements. During this period of refurbishment, South Melbourne FC will play its remaining home matches at Olympic Park. South fans will be given the chance to buy an extensive collection of Adidas merchandise, ranging from player and training attire to casual clothing that can be worn away from the pitch. The official merchandise catalogue and range will be released in late January. The Club urges all the South faithful to purchase their membership, and be part of what truly is a new dawn in the Club's history. South Melbourne FC... I love this Club ! http://www.smfc.com.au/news/825/2010-smfc-membership-launched-i-love-this-club/And the 2010 Membership commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ3K8oLumoAEdited by george: 12/1/2010 12:05:38 PM

Melbourne Knights to fail this season. Only because there squad is only young, in a few years time Knights will be back again.
Altona Magic not to make finals
Dandenong to kick ass because of there great supporters, hard for them to lose at home.
Green Gully to probs runners-up or maybe champions.

Haven't made the finals in the last two season though. By the way, GO THE EAGLES and our aptly named Kevin Bartlett Reserve. Yea I just want them to win cos I used to play for them. A man can dream haha

SMFC have their strongest squad for quite a while - expect them to go a lot better than last season this year. Zois, Vasilevski, Keenan, Recchia and the lads from Heidelberg should all be strong additions at VPL level.

Quote:The official fixture of Victoria’s premier men’s competition has been released.
With two new additions to the competition in Northcote City and Bentleigh Greens, 2010 is shaping up as being one of the most exciting Victorian Premier League seasons in recent history.
The season kicks off under lights at Jack Edwards on Friday 26th February with Premier League mainstay Oakleigh Cannons hosting newcomers and 2009 State League One runners-up, Bentleigh Greens, in a match that is sure to attract a huge crowd to watch the local rivals set the tone for season 2010.
The big matches in the south-east continue on the Saturday night as last year’s Grand Finalists and Minor Premiers Dandenong Thunder entertain a new look Melbourne Knights, and no doubt the local fans will be out in force to help create a fortress at George Andrews once again in 2010.
Green Gully set the ball rolling for the Premier League in the north-west as they welcome Hume City, who will certainly be looking to continue the form they showed at the tail-end of last season.
State League One Champions, Northcote City, find themselves away to Richmond on Sunday 28th February to open their Premier League account, and will be hoping to continue their rise to the top, whilst one of the matches of the round will be at Paisley Park as the reigning champions, Altona Magic host traditional powerhouse, South Melbourne.
Sunshine Georgies take up their residency at Knights stadium for the season and will play Heidelberg United first up in a match both clubs will be looking to take the full three points from.
The Premier Leagues’ new boys get the chance to face off in round five with Northcote City set to host their newly promoted rivals, Bentleigh Greens, as we find out who has faired better after stepping up.
Round six will see Dandenong Thunder looking to make amends when they finally get their chance to face 2009 Champions Altona Magic at Paisley Park in the Grand Final replay.
The Premier League ANZAC Day tradition continues to build with Green Gully taking the Premier League to regional Victoria against Sunshine Georgies to be held in Bendigo. ANZAC Day football continues in Melbourne with Hume City hosting South Melbourne at Broadmeadows Valley Park.
2010 also sees the introduction of an N.T.C. (National Training Centre) team into the seniors, and although these midweek matches will not be for competitions points in the senior competition, it will allow some of Victoria’s best young talent to test themselves against the best in the State, and learn from the players who have played at the highest level.
All-in-all the Premier League in 2010 is set to be a year to remember for some, one to forget for others, a season in which we will see the emergence of new young players and the continued brilliance of the current professionals, some cracking goals and saves, and results that you’ll look at twice before you believe.
Most importantly though, Victorian Premier League football is back. Bring it on!!
To view the 2010 Victorian Premier League fixture, please see the Competitions section of the FFV website. Fixtures can be found at: http://premier.footballfedvic.com.au/common/pages/public/rv/draw.aspx?gradeid=1&entityid=7250&seasonid=64
