Sheffield United still. First season in the EPL (2 march 2011) currently 7th after 25 games or so which is a good effort, most my players have increased in value and are starting to perform, biggest mover is plessis who i picked up for 200k from liverpool is now about 8 mill in value and ive made him captain. Boumsong i also got on a free from juve, hes 30 and im only paying him 10k per week. Ive still got a strong brazilian connection with about 8 capped under 21s in the squad list. if i keep going the way im going ill probably end up in europe at the first attempt. I was predicted to finish 19th.

Any scouts with 20 jusging ability and 20 judging potential and with knowledge in a region you want to know more about will suit fine. and SIGN LULINHA FFS!!!!

So i finished 8th, missed out on europe. Ive made some good signings, obi mikel chelsea, anderson from manc, tom de mul from sevilla, havard nordveit, alejandro alfaro on a free hes 24 and worth 13.5 mil, fabio a 19 yo DM who my 20/20 potential spotter said has the potential to be a lot better than plessis whose now valued at 10 mil and hes a star. One problem is mikel who is elegible for english citizenship needs a work permit, wtf do i do? Do i have to many visa players or something? I also had joao victor, who practically brought me up from the championship, leave on a free really need help with mikel though.

Im also sharing club duties with the nigerian national team job aswell. Does this make it easier for me to sign nigerians or the AI have that built in?

I just signed danny wellbeck from arsenal or something, 20 yo right winger, 20 outta 20 for pace and acceleration and it was between him and theo.

Mikel can be eligable for citezenship, but if he doesn't take it he's still going to need a work permit. If he doesn't get granted one, ship him out to a feeder club that gets you EU passports (like belgium of poland). Offer him a new contract and see if he gets granted a permit then, and if you're givne the opportunity to appeal if it's turned down. If you don't get the chance to appeal, you're in trouble...ship him out to a feeder club.

Of the signings there (Mikel, Anderson, De Mul and Alfaro) they're quality and you'll certainly be competing for europe next season.

I dont' know how much difference being the national team coach makes for signing players of that nationality. I think it's helped me a little being incharge of Spain to sign Ramos and Bojan.

Walcott isn't very good in FM. Dunno about Wellbeck either, free-transferred and retired in mine.

Yeah, they would have. That's how it works. every team is envited and the highest finishing team that applied and isn't already in a european comp gets the spot.
No, he'll probably get the passport at the end of the season, so you may as well hold on to him. you might even be able to get him back in January and get away with it if you're lucky.

i have started a fm with r. madrid in 2008 and i have picked up a lot of bosmans. i got senderos, barnetta, crespo, ronaldo (fat), zaccardo, vanger love, borowski, de silvestri, ujfalusi, riquleme, pires, i also got litmanen and romario for some reason. i got banega, sinclair, lulinha, kerlon, breno, and i am trying for sidwell.

are you planning on using ANY of your original squad?? there's some ok players there, but why bother with De Silvestri, Pires, litmanen and Romario?? Don't bother with sidwell either.

I started a new FM 2007 game today, my 2018 Career game would not go past a few weeks from the last time I had a save, so I delete it.

I've loaded China, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Serbia and Australia.

I joined a random indonesian team, we lost the first match 6-3, and have a random month long gap till our next game.

Overall career goal would be to go from Indonesia to say Korea/China, then off to Eastern Europe, then Spain. Generally, the way these career games start is I last about 3/4 seasons around the leagues I start because these teams suck so badly I get fired a few times, then I move up here and there, once I get a good euro club I start to build my worldwide scouting network and go from there.

Its more than i make, i usually lose about 4mill a month. In my second season in the EPL, ive contracted second season syndrome, after 15 games im sitting in 15th. Last year i finished 8th.

I've decided to scrap Dinamo because ummm... welll... let's just say I wasn't going anywhere.
Started with Ipswich. Danny Haynes is going to be the next Alan Shearer! I've bought a Dutch under-21 goalie, next van der Sar. And had several permits turned down. Lulinha has rejected me about 3 times afromanGT.

Are they in the championship? It cost me first season 7.5mil dollars not pounds. I also reccomend strongly that you get joao victor and joe ledley, even billy sharp if you can get him.

I have FIFA 07 and PES 6 on PS2 i love both of them but FIFA is better its licenced its more realistic its harder and possible to score a freekick.
Dont get me wrong PES is great fun but its not challenging like i win every title every year. I sign every player i want and rarely win by less than two goals but it is still fun but FIFA kinda feels more authentic and realistic

Try playin on a higher difficulty level. ;)

FM boys. I signed gabriel angbonlahor a couple of days ago and sold two relative flops that couldnt get into the team, agahowa and lomski. i know lomski was supposed to be good but ive had him for 4 years and i lost patience, of course i attached a 25% on sale clause too for extra future dough.

I've qualified from the 1st Phase Group B in the Divisi Satu \o/ I have no idea what this means \o/

I love my FM.

I've been playing 2 or 3 games simultaneously recently. Firstly it's St. Pauli in the Bundesliga, then Queensland in the A-League and finally I just started a game with Everton.

I've one only one cup with St. Pauli, the league title with Queensland and nothing with Everton so far. I do however attribute my Queensland victories to my experience with St. Pauli and picking up bargain players.

St. Pauli has been great but everytime I come up against Bayern Munich for example I get torn to shreds. It's taken 4 or 5 seasons for me to even beat the bastards once!
I have a reasonably gun team for the Bundesliga.

Quang Huy is by far my best player in my opinion. I picked him up on a free from a Vietnamese club and he scored 30 odd goals in his first season, he's picked up another 28 or so this season now too. To add to that he's worth 15M Euros and he's had interest come in from Liverpool and other big clubs. Works for peanuts too!
Qi Bin is a Chinese lad I signed up for 1.5M Euros from Shenhua I think, he's attracting interest from Barcelona. He's still young, but I think he'll probably partner Quang Huy next season.
Arany is a Hungarian I picked up for next to nothing, tough tackler but nothing particularly special.

I love small teams though, I have to look a lot harder for good quality players who are generally younger. I've found plenty for a good price. I just wish I could have picked up Aaritalo or Dzudsak early on.

EDIT: One last thing. Omar Aguilar, most expensive signing I've made but well worth it. 7.5M euros from Toluca in Mexico, shone at the Olympics (where my scout spotted him) and I beat the likes of Chelsea and AC Milan to sign him. Makes alot of assists and scores the occasional goal. He's going to be integral to my team once Van Bommel retires.

Ive got a few free agents coming in the off season the best is a 21 yo guy from belgium, eden hazard i think. Im also resigned to losing bruno colacao whose been unhappy even though ive played him nearly every game for 3 years the whole time, hes the next brazilian left back and he wont sign another contract.

Gabi whatsit isn't worth your time. Better off with someone like Sturridge. Doesn't start out as much, but City are onto something if he's nurtured right.

Ok. Here's what you do. Offer him as much as reasonlably possible. On your "key player" roster. and go to "Player interaction" and say you think he's the next big thing, or something akin to that. Buttering up players a little usually does the trick unless you're playin something like mid-table championship and flailing badly.

Get joao victor ffs.

Agbon is only a back up for sharp and jones. Ive also got mauricio, alfaro and a few other guys. What are your thoughts on david amoo?

Just got alou diarra whose valued at 3.3 mil for 1.2 mil, just thought id put in a bid, see what happens. hes not transfer listed or anything. 30yo now. asking for a contract of 160k per week, accepted a 67k per week 3 year deal. LOL. Should harden me up in DM, im suffering badly with sss.

IRL...paperweight masquerading as a footballer. In the game, Footballer masquerading as a paperwieght. Can be good, but you're better off chasing Delle Valle or whatever his name is. Better value to sucky player ratio.

Nah. Plessis is still going. Ive also got dutra, nordveit and fabio that can fill DM too. LOL. For CM ive got lulihna, anderson, mikel, osbourne but mikel still needs to pull a permit out his ass before he can stand on the pitch.

Such a surprise. Normally when I start in random lower leagues in the middle of nowhere I come last and get sacked a few times before heading to a bigger nation.

We lost the Divisi Satu Grand Final though :( Lost 3-2 in Extra time after giving up the equaliser in the 87th minute.

Send Mikel to a feeder club, atleast then he'll be getting some game time and may draw the attention of a club and you can move him on for a profit.

Inheriting a decent squad, a couple of smooth/shrewd signings and the right tactics for the league will get the job done nicely for you. Works for me most of the time. You'll find it gets harder in the higher divisions though.
