Just played 2 matches, Lost 2-1 to Colchester in the league with Millwall, and lost 5-0 to Australia with Cook Islands, I didnt do too bad there imo.

Couple questions. First, how do people usually go about when signing backup goalies? All mine gradually become unhappy because they aren't playing fisrt team football even though the latest one i signed i signed him as a 'backup'. It stated it on his contract. But I just realised as i'm typing this that he wasn't avaliable for the reserves #-o Would that have changed anything? Thinking i should just go for young goalies from now on though seeing as they won't expect to play...
And second what do people usually do when there is "trouble"i.e two people not getting on. I've had it happen to me a couple times and just left it and it's resolved itself after time but is there anything more to do? Just happened to me now though but the day after the email came, i got one saying it was resolved :? Lol.

yea my backup goalie is so annoying.

1)Go young, or old. anyone in between, will expect first team. And yeah, make sure they're playing in the reserves.

2)Somtimes they're resolved, sometimes they're not. If, after 2/3 days it's not resolved, I'll release sell one of the players. Otherwise it can cause too much damage to your squads mental state.

That's what i though of doing for number 2 but i doubt i would of because it was between 2 of my best players.

Finished in 7th position with Fulham. Highest league position ever. And one of my players got young player of they year and another came second.
And I just realised I'm playing in the Euro Cup next season. Need to do some serious strengthening.

Find the best young keeper you can. He doesn't have to be a world beater, but someone who if necessary can fill in for your first choice and be prepared for him to keep hold of that spot.

There was a feature in 07 to have your captain talk to them, don't know if it's still there.

When my side was traveling really bad at one stage I went into the player interaction section for my captain and there was an option to hold an emergency team meeting or something of the like... So there might be one if two players arent getting along....

Bought a striker for 22mil. It's ok though because I sold my star striker for 44mil to Roma. They made an offer of 22mil originally and i just put it up to 40 to get them to withdraw but they accepted and I felt i just had to take it. The new striker i bought is as good as the one i sold though so it's not a MAJOR loss but still hurts a bit.

Well that 44mil I got WAS a record transfer income but looks like i just smashed it. My wonderkid. Got offered 20mil i put it up to 68, again thinking they would withdraw...stoopid me. Why would Inter withdraw? FACEPALM. Chairman accepted so my wonderkid is gone :( Had a good time with him though.

For 68mil you could sign two new wonderkids and have change though.

Yeh i bought two new strikers for 24mil each and a right defender young guy but doubt he will be a wonderkid. Still got lot more to spend and i've still got a lot more that i should of spent. Probably do it in the jan transfer. Get a great centre mid and a right winger and maybe a cnetral defender.

FM with FFT fails because I can't make any interesting signings and develop regen players.

CCM are by far the best team in FM in the a-league. Even in 2017 in my game they are still getting top.

I don't know how they do it either. Perth and NZ are always really tough away and CCM are just a bitch constantly in FM, no matter how good your squad gets.

Yeh and Sydney are always rock bottom untill you decide to change that (like i did). They've been getting around 3rd all the time since i left about 7 years ago so it's not too bad.

I decided to take over CCM, because it's easier to get new players in. No foreigners in the squad already.

Fucking hell though, half their team is out injured. Owens, Gumprecht, Elrich.

A need a new left and new right wingers, as well 2 central mid fielders, then to improve the rest of the squad, especially if I can get a gun striker.

Matt Simon is so fucking annoying all the time. He is wayyyyy better in fm than IRL.
Look out for Tolgay Ozbey as well. He seems to always come up and is a very good player.

I remember signing Hal Robson Kanu from Reading when I was at Melbourne and he performed very well and was able to sell him off and get some moolah after a couple of seasons.

Bertrand Robert is the way to go with Left wing in the A-League. Matt Simon can do the job up front for the time being.

Well he's there, two year contract to U.S Boulogne in France. Although you not having the French leagues on could be why he's not in yours.

Pretty much with signings. Picked up Robbie Bajic on a free from Adelaide, Simon Elliott (NZ) on a free from Fulham, Russell Woodruffe from Brisbane Strikers for 10k, I picked up 3 foreign players, Neto Potiguar from Caxias in Brazil on a free, a quick striker, with good technique and flair, Juan Silva from Santiago Wanderers for 18k, he's a DR MR and looks alright, and a MC named Wagner on loan from Internacional.

Obviously it's pretty much impossible to cut the shit players in the team with no cash, because you can't release them on a free, and most of them won't get sold, so I just filled the squad with what I could at the time, and will look to the future to sort out a few newer players. Hopefully.

Unregistering Elrich and Gumprecht meant we had more than enough Salary Cap, and the places to sign the new players. It's not ideal the squad we have, has gaps (impossible not to when there is apparently a limit of 19 players over 20 or something stupid like that).

Won our first game in the pre-season cup vs NZ by 2-0. \:d/

Had an EPIC game last night against "FC Bayern" (away). My team is still a average mid table side that I have brought up from the German div 2. Before this game "FC Bayern" were sitting top, something like 8 points clear of second, had only conceded 16 goals and scored 40 + after only 20 odd games and only lost once. Bayern scored 2 first half goals – I gave my team the old “I want to see more of you” and they came out and scored 3 second half goals and held off Bayern for the last 5 mins to clinch an unbelievable upset!!!

^^Had the same thing happen against Borussia Dortmund. Only my team was better than them, but we didn't make a come back until the 86th minute.

Wellington are alway the best in my game with their in-fucking-credible regens.

Drew the 2nd game in the pre-season cup against Sydney FC, Bolton superkeepered me. Was about 14 shots to 2.

Then I lost 2-1 in the game against Queensland Roar.

Not such a big deal in the future when there's more exciting youth floating around. You van just build an entire team around youth.
