Finally found a formation thats worked well for me in a 433,and i bought in Jay Simpson on loan from Arsenal who has scored 6 goals in 4 games so far. Started a career with Real Madrid, wanted to splash some cash around.

Signed the usuals, santon, tales, delfouenso. And signed Palombo from Sampdoria.

Started with friendly wins over Everton, Liverpool and some unknowns.

Played Valencia in the spanish super cup, drew 1-1 away, then a 3-0 win at home.

Drew Porto, Fenerbahce and Bordeaux in my UCL group.

Season is about 6 games in, won 3 including a 5-0 in Rd 6 over a previously unbeaten Villlareal,but lost 1-0 to Barca, so im sitting 3rd

I have a game with the Roar and i tell you what i stuggle to win... I mainly struggle in keeping the ball i always seem to loose the possession stat by alot.... any tips for formations and players to have.... i have signed Milicevic and Milligan on frees

So, I finished the season with The League Cup and the SPL. Not bad :). Signed a deal with Plymouth and will be heading off there soon. Will be sad to leave.

Signing of the Season would have to be Edinho. Added that quality in the middle of the park and dictated the play. Arshavin did well after coming in in January

My Player of the year is a tie between Tales and Lopez. Lopez picked up an incredible 40 goals, and Tales wasnt far behind in his field with a whopping 38 assists. Those two players handed me the title.

Anyone else done some LLM in FM? I'm currently on a game as AFC Wimbledon in my 2nd season. Won promotion to Blue Square Premier in 1st season, sitting 2nd with 10 games to go. Want to try and get to Premier League in 10 seasons.
Real struggle to sign players, my gun signing in season 1 was a 40y.o Francesco Baiano who's goals got me promotion. Signing players in 2nd season has been hard, had to rely on signing players released from Local clubs, mainly West Ham and Charlton youngsters.

I'm working on a couple of games in FM2008 at the moment. (I don't think 2009 is much of a step up)

I have one file that I'm up to about 2022 or so with St Pauli in the Bundesliga. I turned them from 2nd Division Promoted from the Third, to close enough to European Champions. I've won a UEFA Cup and countless first division titles. (Became much easier when Bayern faded)I can't seem to beat Barcelona for the life of me though. The bastards are a tough nut to crack even if I am ranked the 2nd best team in Europe.

But the game I'm working on at the moment is one where I started off managing Australia.

I picked up the reins at Palermo after I resigned (Lost to South Korea in the play-offs). They gave me little more than a month before I was sacked and I then took over at Feyenoord which is where I'm at now.
I'm molding a nice little side at the moment and my team is doing well for being relegations candidates 2 seasons ago. I'm sitting second on the table after Ajax on goal difference. I thrashed PSV 5-2 in one of my opening few games and I beat Ajax 3-2 at De Kuip. I am worried about my aging players and my weak central defence though.

Bergsma is the only computer generated player. He's an 18-year old gun striker from my youth academy.
My midfield I'm relatively happy with albeit a bit aging but I'm looking at getting Niels Fleuren on the left-back front, and hopefully a new right winger soon.

Finished the Season with Inter in 2nd position. 4 points behind Fiorentina and 5 in front of AC Milan. Quite disapointing though seeing as I was on top for most of the season but some bad form and pumpings by Fiorentina and Juventus screwed me over. I got into the champions league though which is what I was ultimately aiming for. Pretty good though seeing as I came 5th last season.
Aguero got top goal scorer with 26 goals and got 15 assists as well.
Freddy Adu got 2nd in player of the year. He got 22 assists (6 more than last season) and 5 goals.
Julio Cesar got 3rd in GK of the year.
3rd in manager of the year.
Freddy Adu and Aguero in team of the year.
Federico Laurito also got 22 goals and 13 assists.
Marek Hamsik (Hammers) got 18 goals and 13 assists. Not bad for a MC.

Now it's off to my first world cup :)

Fucking Hell. Managing such a shit team sucks. Transfer Budget is only 30k! Board only lets me have two coaches. Shit like that. Fucked.

I found the key to LL management is really your scouting system. It was quite telling that I had alot of trouble getting out of the bottom 2 leagues when I played FC United, because I could only have like 1 scout, compared to getting out of L2 and L1, when I had more scouts, and some very good ones as well.

just click on a nations flag or type in a national team when searching for a club, this will take you to national team page and select to become manager of that country

Finished 3rd in the group. Haven't been sacked yet but I will when the World Cup is finished.

Got sacked by Argentina but it worked out good cause I got the Australia job! :D About the same time I took over in my other game.
Signed a new 4 year contract with Inter as well.
Sold Laurito to Barcelona for around 60mil, but that's over 24 months or something, but picked up a better buy for 80mil in Carlos Vela :cool:

Started playing with United again, played a few EPL games and one Euro Cup. Beat Murcia 5-0 in the Euro Cup group stages and then beat West Ham 4-0 and Everton 4-1. Tevez has 7 goals and 7 assists in as many EPL games while Veloso has an average rating of 8.2 atm and has 9 goals and 7 assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.

Had the same problem with Leeds, look for free agents until u get some money, usually you get some really decent ones if you look around

I just started playing with westham they have transfer budget of 1.9million lol thats worse than most championship clubs.

Yeah. Ive been looking at a LOT of free agents and people for like 10k. Its just tough not being allowed coaches. My best player is out of contract and doesnt want to re-sign (obviously). Should be alright to get promo though, if half of my offers get accepted.

Im just confused because when I signed the contract they said my budget would be 850k. Now its 30. Wierd.

Reading are a good club to play with i won the champions league and the treble with them

Have you tried adjusting your budget/wages amounts? I had to do it a lot whilst at Millwall/Brighton.

Yeah. Im only 12k under my wage budget, so I cant take too much off that either.
