I've tried for Barzagli to replace Richards and the next time I go on Lulinha will have an offer.

Sign Patrice Araujo, Lulinha and Naldo from Werder Bremen with your Richards money. That should have you set for europe at the very least.

Go for Garay or Ratinho

Ratinho doesn't improve at all. Garay is a brilliant defender if you can get him. Or Alexis.

ah they those grey buggers who cant actually be bought or sold or anything, which is pretty stupid, or maybe not in a way.

No, they're not regen, they're something else...I think they call them "Ghost players" and when they're created for a Serie A reserve team you can actually sign them, right mouse click on their name in the match engine in the 'player ratings' and the option is there.

Here are my buys:

Mika Aaritalo - Finnish utility - 22
Andrew Taylor - English left-back - 21
Sotiris Ninis - Greek right winger - 17
Gabriel Torje - Romanian right winger - 17
Marc Crosas - Spanish centre midfielder - 19
James Wesolowski - Australian defensive midfielder - 20
Matthew Spiranovic - Australian centre back - 19

The combined ages of those signings is 135 and the average age is 19.2.

Khalid Boulahrouz is coming next year. I would have Patricio Araujo but the work permit was denied. Lulinha will come for 3m and I'm tying to work it down to a 2m.

Coming 10th, 3 wins, 3 losses. Man Utd are 9th:twisted:

HailtheCelts - Mika Aaritalo is a great buy, you can get him for next to nothing if he's still playing in Finland. I've signed him for 100k. Chris James is an awesome option too, he's on a free. Ninis rocks socks on the right once he gets a bit of experience under his belt. Andrew Taylor is on a knife's edge. One injury for a month or so and you can kiss his potential goodbye.

i have won the epl for the thrid time running. i had about five games to spare. when i won i had about two loses and a few draws. i lost to liverpool in a early round of the fa cup. won the league cup. and i am in the semis of the champions league. and the board is considering my future:cry:. i have some wounder kid coming on a free from roma at the end of the season okaka i think. lulinha has made it into my first team and is going well. and then i have the likes of john fleck, ben sahar, scott sinclair and others in my reserves.
i am also with fiorentina. i am third by 4 points with five or six games left. before i was there they bought bellusci, hugo vianna, gussepi rossi, zarate, hilderbrand, mpdric and a few others. they were coming ninth or tenth when i joined them . i bought in bouzanis, dum, ottl is coming at the end of his contract, pennant and some ghana back from liverpool i think he is called antwi or something. lupoli and rossi are guns and have both scored around twenty goals in the league.
i am also the manager of ghana with my fiorentina. and checz with chelsea
and ninis is a great buy. on mine i had him loaned him out to reading and then he wanted to leave. he went to ac milan. he is now a wounder kid and is at tottenham on loan

I think I got Aaritalo for 400k or something. Chris James signed for a club and they want 2m for him. I thought that was a massive rip off but I'll try again. Andrew Taylor won't be used that much. I've got Javier Garrido and will get a better left-back later.

Torje isn't that versatile. But can play in 4, maybe 5 positions.

I cleaned out my scouts. I have 2 scouts from England, 1 from Italy, 1 from Spain, 1 from Portugal and 1 from France. I'm so international. And only one person remains from my original scouts.

Aside from the complete lack of punctuation etc, Okaka is all potential, doesn't ammount to much.

Chris James is another one that you got to get in early for. In mine he went to Bristol Rovers who sold him to polpey for 450k who then sold him to Blackburn for 4.2mil! Which Javier Garrido? they're both ok short-tern, but try for someone like Christian Pander. That lad's brilliant. Or Stefan Radu.
Torje is hardly flexible at all really. Gerrard is more flexible!

i am with inter. i have got maxi rodriges on a free. as well as zaccardo, de silvestri, gasberoni and heaps more that i forget. i boutght the young guys that were on loan at inter. and i also bought heaps of young guys. like john fleck, lulinha etc. i also bought aimer and tevez but tevez fell through becuase i am only allowed to buy 1 eu player or something. i am trying to buy sergio aguero as well. i bough boruc. and got rid of julio cesar becasue i dont like him. carini came back from loan and he will replace toldo. i also got crespo for free and he had an awesome season. he was my second top goal scoreer with 25.
i was tied first with juve and roma. but i had the best goal difference and it said that i came second. can someone please explain why??
i am alos with guimcamp or something. the team drogba and malouda played for. i bout plessis and zefuik and got slingaard and sterk for free

Slow learner aren't you?? You're only allowed 1 non-EU player and that's already taken up by Aimar probably, so that will fall through too.

I want to say "It's because you're fucking retarded". But it's actually because head to head results is used to sort the Serie A before they use GD. You can see this when you click "World" > "Italy" > "serie A" > "Rules".

FIFA I liked, but I found on anything but the top difficulty it was way too easy... and even then you could get Notts County to the premier league without too much effort... >_>

The new PES for the Wii looks interesting, what with the "run into space over here" pointing gestures, but I've yet to hire it out.

I'm a complete FM addict, I'm afraid. Took a lot of work and smart dealing to get Glory competitive in FM 2008; I had to play my first season with a bunch of free transfers for crying out loud. But, I've built up and I've a pretty good team- after making a tidy profit on Ruka after selling him for $3m or so.

A-League:
2008 - 3rd, won Grand Final (fluke)
2009 - 2nd, won Grand Final
2010 - 2nd, lost Grand Final
2011 - 2nd, lost Grand Final
2012 - 1st, lost Grand Final
2013 - 1st, won Grand Final

Pre-Season Cup
2008 - 2nd
2009 - 2nd
2010 - 1st
2011 - 1st
2012 - 1st
2013 - 1st

ACL
09/10 - Group stage
10/11 - Group stage
11/12 - Semi Finals
12/13 - Semi Finals
13/14 - Semi Final (in progress)

Rule number one for the start of the game with just about any team is "Sign Chris James" He'll probably be one of the best playrs in your squad, he's on a free too, which is an added bonus.

Fifa Manager feels too slow for me. Everything just takes ages. I don't have a bad computer or anything and I have it set to 22 leagues which comfortably lets me play at top speed, yet the loading times are still horrible. Love the game though was great fun to play.

Just made the switch to football manager, took a bit of getting used to. It's much simpler in presentation and isn't as flashy but imo it's actually more fun. Very very minimal loading times(like a few seconds), which is what I like most about it haha but still as deep a game as Fifa Manager.

Playing as Arsenal of course and a few games into my first season. Doing alright, sitting about 8th with a game in hand and a trip to Stamford Bridge up next. Top of group in Champions League and round 3 or 4 in League Cup. Picked up Hatem Ben Arfa from Lyon and Jeremy Menez from AS Monaco. Both French and both have fit in well Gonna be stars.

Like all Fifa games, once you get past the "ooh shiny" reaction, you realise that there's really not a lot of depth to it. FM's the way to go for managerial games. That said, i think i might be jumping ship from PES and giving Fifa09 a good chance.

Nah, I'm past that and prefer to develop my own youth or hunt for bargains that aren't already splashed around the internet.

I went on a cradle-snatching mission in Brazil and Argentina about 3 years ago and got 2 or 3 really good youngsters; they're now just about the best players in the league and 30 days from being Australian citizens- meaning more foreign slots available for more young kids or experienced Asian defenders (some of these Chinese CBs are ridiculously powered).

That was the main pitfall of FIFA manager...the loading screens killed it and FM is superior in that respect as long as you have a decent computer. 5 secs max.

i've been playing fm again, was running sydney fc for 3 seasons, the 3rd in which we won the minor premiership but bombed out in the finals against queensland. we were a strong team with the line-up featuring the likes of richard garcia, robbie kruse, dez giraldi, and ben vidaic (who top scored with 12 goals in the league season), as well as a couple of quality frenchmen.

at the end of the season, after being linked with a move to just about every other club on the planet, i applied for a job at tottenham, and the board decided to give me the arse. unfortunately i didn't get the tottenham job, but i'm now the manager of cesena in serie b. and have just made a start to the season losing 1-0 to siena.
