Be careful with making all your subs too early, you dont wanna get an injury and be down a man for 25-45mins. Yeah I was so pissed off I thought about rage quitting but hadnt saved for ages.BTW I had to make the subs as I had to reorganize defence after Balde was sent off then both my wingers had conditions of mid to low 70's so I had to drag them at half time. January just passed and I signed Ben Foster for 1mil as both Hahneman and Federici injured themselves for three and six months respectively with freak training injuries at exactly the same times so i was using my third choice keeper for two months. Lining up like this atm ----------Foster----------- --Yezerskiy-Bikey--Balde/Cisse -Saiet-Mascio-Harper/Banega-Fleck -----Gignac--Laurito--Doyle------ Mascio is a contender for POTY, Leads the league in assists with 12 and is 5th in goals with 10, Laurito is league top scorer with 14, both have at least one POTM and Mascio has won nearly all YPOTM and he has even managed MOM in losses to Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal twice and City and Spurs he is incredible I signed him for 30k last seaosn now he is worth about 5 mil now and is happy with Reading despite all the interested clubs Edited by fredsta: 30/9/2009 04:48:26 PM the bad thing about mascio is that he isn't real.

Through my first month.
Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth (CCC) Plymouth 2-0 Peterboro (LC) Swansea 0-0 Plymouth (CCC) Plymouth 3-1 Norwich (CCC)
Great first month in the CCC. Stoked.
Nationalities of my First 11:
Dutch Albanian Dutch Dutch Belgian Belgian Dutch Dutch Gabon Dutch Finnish
Lot of dutch .
My first 11, the money I spent on bringing them in, all combined, is 1.1mil. And 900k of that was spent on two players. Lol.

Im not complaining that he isnt real nr he does the job regardless and is imo one of the best midfielders in the EPL at only 18. I need some good defenders as my defence is absolutely crap and all over 32 I would prefer defenders (CB) under 28, looking at Burdisso atm

Are Irish and Scotish players counted as British in the game? I only have one certain starting Englishman and that is Foster and if Doyle counts as British then that is two and James Hraper who is a Brit plays 90% of the time so still thats only three

Just signed Federico Laurito on a free. =p~
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

In my current formation it allows me to get the best from Lurito as Gignac and Doyle support him upfront and provide the assists and although his pace stats arent top knotch he loves to outrun and beat defenders. He and Mascio are telepathicaly linked I reckon

Changed my formation to a standard 4-2-4 as the other formations were not yielding results. Immediatly got success beating Portsmouth 3-0 and having a draw with 1st placed Arsenal 0-0

The good thing, is that the rules are pretty lax. I think it's 3 years at the club between 15 and 21, and nationality doesn't matter. Check them to be sure though. Usually any player you buy before they turn 19 should be fine.

Ben Foster has been awesome for me he has played 5 games and has an average rating of 8.12 and has 3 MOM's. Miserable recent form though has seen me drop to 13th. I almost completed the best comeback ever down 2-0 to Manchester United at half time I took my wingers off and brought on fullbacks, changed to a 3-2-2-3 but then Doyle got injured so I swapped to a 3-2-3-2 ---------Foster--------- ---Bikey--Yezerskiy-Cisse -Santon------------Jsnkulovski ---Banega--Mascio--Harper----- -------Laurito-----Gignac---- Immediately :aurito and Mascio exchange passes before mascio curls a beautiful shot top corner and its 2-1 before Banega slots a through ball to Jankulovski who slots home and its 2-2, then Gignac scores but its ruled offside, United havent had an opportunity and Ive had it all I then have a penalty claim turned down and Gignac hits the post but then in the 91st after total Reading domination I conede a penalty and its converted 3-2 Ft I was gutted. Switched back to my 3-4-3 against City and drew 1-1 courtesy of Gignac and then I beat Bristol 4-0 with a Laurito and Fleck double. Also I signed Jurado for 750k after I had a 4 mil bid rejected in the offseason, absolutely stoked because with that 4 mil I got Fleck and Banega and now I have Jurado for an absolute steal

I just signed Bobby Zullo, who is my gun aussie regen. He can't come 'till next season due to the stupid under 18's aussie rule. :D I'll probably send him out on loan for a season...maybe. CCM aren't even playing him #-o

Im pretty sure you can download a wonderkid search filter from certain sites. I just signed Jorge Andrade on a free and some 27 y.o British defender from Watford for only 55k, he has marking of 19, tackiling 16, positioning 16 and great stats in key areas but nothing in supporting ones good sign for only 55k though and he is under 30 which is a bonus

I downloaded the in-game editor and messed around with my Newcastle save. I put players with stats up to 20 and stuff, made my moral high and there is a choice where you can 'destroy a team' so I had Arsenal next and did it to them which put all of their first team down to 10% and resting so I versed their reserves and under 18's. I won 10-1 lulz. I might quit Newcastle and go down lower to League one or Championship at the end of the season. Whoever takes over at Newcastle has the best players in the world

Finished in 14th with Laurito league top scorer with 17 and Mascio as YPOTY. I drew Cheslea 1-1 after taking the lead through Saivet and dominating the match, they only had one shot on target and scored off a late penalty, also I reckon I came close to conceding 20 penalties and I wouldnt be surprised if it was more than that and that has to change next season as I scored more goals than any team outside the four but I was still in the negatives at the end of the year. I had an epic draw with Arsenal after going down 44 in the first half I fought back with a Gignac double in quick succesion and Doyle finished a good team move to put it 4-3 but when it seemed all over laurito popped up to score a 93rd minute equalizer, nodding home from a Santon cross.
I have been handed 19 mil to spend I dont know whether I should try and sign an awesome defender as I think with Andrade and that English guy coming in it looks alright or wheter I should sign Veloso who I do not need at all but with him and Mascio in the middle it would be awesome

Anyways how is gignac for you?

I have signed Andrade on a free and a signing I am very happy with Thomas Vermaelan of RL Arsenal fame for 10mil from Ajax. Gignac had a good season 12 goals and 12 assists IIRC had a lot of shots on target but he had a lot of shots saved seemed to shoot at the keeper a lot but I cant really fault him he has been great. laurito has too and unfortunately they are both unhappy as there are several clubs bidding for them, Laurito is only 18 or 19 and top scored EPl yet the highest offer has been 11 from Bayern and his value is around 4 mil, Manchester United are stingy and have submitted several 3.5 mil bids, none of the bids will tempt me to sell but I have to laugh at how pathetic some are and the two biggest clubs after him United and Pool are the stingiest. Gignac is wanted by Lyon, Villareal, Tottenham and Arsenal but again shit house bids not that I would sell anyway. I also signed De Guzman on a free from Fayenoord and have 9.5 mil left and am considering bidding for another defender or Valencia who's value has plummeted to 2.5 after relegation

Quote:Hello everyone – I hope you all had lovely weekends. For us at SI Towers it was a busy one to say the least. We’re on the final straight now for development of Football Manager 2010, and had certain deadlines to hit, which we have done. These deadlines mean that a bunch of us have been at the studio or on call all weekend whilst the QA teams at Sports Interactive and SEGA try to break the game. Thankfully it was quite peaceful, but it’s a very strange feeling to have jetlag when I haven’t travelled anywhere, having gone to sleep at 6am each day this weekend (and not even with drink inside me….) We are now at a stage called "release candidate one" with the game. This is the first version of the final master DVD of the game, and it is now over at SEGA for a period of lock down testing for a few of days, before it goes off to start the manufacturing process. Normally there will be five or six release candidates as issues are found with the different versions of the game (we have six different DVD’s that have different languages on for different countries). These issues are normally things like a missing language file on a DVD, or minor data errors, but could include anything, so it’s both great and frustrating for us to have a “lockdown” period where we’re not allowed to change anything code-wise unless something is found. Typically, once this process starts, it takes a couple of weeks to complete until we’re officially “gold” (which means that gold master disc is in manufacturer) and if all goes normally, it would lead to the demo being released (as previously hinted at) two weeks before the games release. Now that we’re at this stage, we’ll be working out what the system specifications for the game are (which, again, as previously hinted, are likely to be pretty close, if not identical, to FM2009) but we also do “speed tests” to see how the game runs, and whether our optimisations have worked. When we do speed tests, they are done in a controlled environment, so we have one PC that is only allowed to be used for these tests. This same machine is used to do tests with previous version of the game, and then with the latest version, with exactly the same in game set up, which involves running a season with an unemployed manager. Two different tests are done, one with full detail match engine, which means every match in the game is played through in full, and one with minimum detail, which means the matches are played through our quick match engine. When you’re playing the game, you typically have a mixture of both, with any competition you are in played in the full match engine, and ones that you aren’t in played with the quick match engine, although this is completely configurable in the “detail level” section in the games preferences screen. Anyway, onto the results… Full match detail – a speed increase between Football Manager 2010 and Football Manager 2009 (fully patched) of 16%. Quick match detail – a speed increase between Football Manager 2010 and Football Manager 2009 (fully patched) of 43.5% So whilst I’m impressed with those, what do they mean to you when you’re playing the game? I asked a couple of our Dream Team off-site testers how they felt about the speed this year. Tim Pyke “The speed in FM10 has had a nice optimization done to it since FM09. Not only is the actual processing speed faster but the UI is far more responsive. "I have been running as general a game with 11 leagues over three nations with a couple of custom cups included (Anglo Scottish and Anglo Italian Cups anyone?) to do most of the beta testing on and it zips through very nicely. "Even when leaving four nations running over a day to run a few holiday tests I will get through five or six seasons in a 12 hour stretch which gives me plenty of data to use. "My data base size will always be custom with the standard large and a few additional selections included to bump up the player numbers. For my mid-range PC running a hyper-threading 3.2ghz P4 processor and 2.5gb RAM this is perfectly good for me. "As a comparison with FM09, I would generally run the English league structure down to Blue Square North and South with only the standard large database loaded and a Saturday match day would take a few minutes to run through which I didn't mind. "During the FM10 testing phase I have tried running English structure all the way down to Level 10 (Wessex League Division One and Sussex County League Division Two) thanks to the new editor. "This is an increase from seven leagues to 46 and although the Saturday processing might be a minute or two longer I think for a six fold increase in leagues this is a tremendous improvement. With this improvement more players of the game will be able to increase the number of active leagues running if they wish without much difference in processing speed.” Neil “FM10 is running great. A lot quicker then 09 in my opinion and it also seem a lot more responsive. I’m currently playing with large database with English Premiership and Championship loaded then the top leagues from Russia, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Holland, Turkey, Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina and Portugal, and it runs great.” Dean Ketley “FM2010 is like Usain Bolt compared to FM2009 on my machine, it really does eat up the processing time so much so that I'm playing with four extra leagues compared with 09 and it still runs, I'd guess, at least 30% faster. Really have been impressed with the speed of the game throughout testing and can safely say your guys have done a tremendous job with this. "The game is running with a large database (42000 players I think) with full detail in England and latter stages in Spain and Italy.” Nick Mahiltz “Speed is by far improved, what took 30 minutes to start a game takes less than 3 minutes. Responsiveness in the UI and match engine has dramatically improved, the optimisation is by far the best seen in the FM series. "I’m using a Dual Core laptop with 2GB of ram, with all leagues in England, Scotland and Iceland and a large database, on full detail.” Nik Reeves-McLaren “The speed difference between FM2009 & FM2010 really is noticeable: FM2010 is more responsive, and processes more quickly. Starting a new game is also much faster. "I’m running on a single core Pentium 4, with a custom database (large database but with every international player retained from every continent). It comes to a total of 31,000 players, whilst keeping the players selected relevant for my task as Blades manager! "For most of my testing, I am running England (all the way down to Level 10) and Scotland (again, a custom editor file - implementing an 18-team per division pyramid down to the Juniors). Only two countries, but 58 divisions and a lot of extra cups! "Even with 58 divisions running, I'm rarely left waiting for results to pour in.” So there you go. Now last week, we had a special visitor at SI Towers, the one and only Paolo Nutini, who is well documented as being a big fan of the game. He had a day off whilst on tour, so came to see us and had a play around with FM2010, and did a little interview with us. You can watch it here (and turn your speakers up, as it’s not the most professionally recorded video in the world!)… See you all tomorrow for another blog about FM2010 and it’s new features. Cheers, Miles http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/blogs/football-manager-2010/Football-Manager-2010-new-features-blog-Day-23-Speed-tests-and-Paulo-Nutini-article180613.html =p~

This is my current Chelsea squad: Cech, Balogh (GK) Cole, Rajkovic, Richards, Terry, Alex, Carvalho, Bosingwa, Ferreira (DEF) Modric, Cole, Cork, Essien, Veloso, Lampard, Mikel (Mid) Anelka, Paloschi, Laurito, Aguero, Aussie Regen (STR) On top of the table 5 points clear of Arsenal, Bolton and Soton are in 3rd and 4th.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen offered me a contract. I was always going to move so I took it. I couldn't stay at Newcastle because of the editing and stuff I did lol We are currently second though, and that wouldn't have happened without the editing. I negotiated to go at the end of the season so I'm going then and am going to try and get Newcastle as high as possible and maybe win the FA Cup.

Look at Tales everyone. Ripped up at Celtic with 40 odd assists two seasons running, and then sold to Atletico Madrid, and is now at AC Milan. Can be picked up for around 2mil early on, and is worth about 15 after about 4-5 years.
