Krackovich wrote:Yeah i bought FM2010 yesterday, its pretty cool, A-League seems a bit better but still a little wacky. It acknowledges who your marquee is this time round, i think the squad size is supposed to cover your youth team too but it seems a little weird, also some random players set as transfer-listed, eg at Victory Kemp, Celeski and Pondeljak are listed. Got Dario Vidosic in for 16K pounds, i think thats a must buy for this league. Ill have to really play it a bit more after cricket tonight before i can say for sure whats better/worse. In the demo I'm playing now I got Mark Viduka on a free. His stats are seriously great for the A-League. Better than Robbie Fowler. He's 33 which is alright. I'm gonna sign Vidosic lol And Shannon Cole is transfer listes, I'm gonna try sell him anyway because he's only a WB and for some reason can't play a defender R/L and I don't use WB's.

Afro's probably played a couple years already so he'll be able to tell you  I can tell you in the Sydney FC team Joal Chianese, Rhyan Grant and a few others in the youth team are heaps gun. Some are 16/17 and have better stats than Musialik and Prentice

I haven't even played the full game yet. My copy is sitting at EB and I haven't had a chance to go pick it up. I'll do that tomorrow at some stage.

If you're using the latest patch, sign Josh Rose, Russel Woodruffe, Radulovic, Issy Erdogan. Wesolowski and Wehrman if you can get them are fantastic too. As is Chris James.

After deciding that I would hold off getting FM10 I am now craving it after reading some manchester United stories on the net and I wnat to see how I can adapt without Ronaldo and Tevez who with Fletcher were my best in 09. I also want to see what I would do with the transfer kitty. Im thinking new forward Aguero, Benzema, Balotelli, Dzeko, Gignac etc. New winger Silva or Mata and maybe Veloso

It's the 2015/16 season in my FM09 game, and this is the Premiership:
1. Liverpool 2. Peterborough United 3. Cardiff City 4. Arsenal 5. Manchester City 6. Oxford United 7. Tottenham Hotspur 8. Wigan Athletic 9. Fulham 10. Southampton 11. Queens Park Rangers 12. Sheffield Wednesday 13. Chelsea 14. Sunderland 15. Blackburn 16. West Ham 17. Aston Villa 18. Coventry City 19. Nottingham Forest 20. Bolton Wanderers
Man United are a mid-table league one side after going into administration, and Everton are top of the Championship

My team in England is obviously Oxford United, and I took over first Real Madrid and Barca and tapped up all Man U's players, haha.

Just reached the cut off date in the FM10 demo, shattered. Was doing really well with the Celtic too. Topped our Europa League group, unbeaten. We were on top of the SPL, and 5 points clear after 17 games, having won 12, drawn 4 and lost just 1. Those results included a 4-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox. All of that was done with just one transfer in, loving the way my tactic works. Shattered I won't be able to pick up FM10 for a while.

What's the exact date it stops? I'm close to six months with Sydney FC. I think we're on second just behind Gold Coast. I'll probably resume it when I get FM10...Not for long though with only one league open.

Well I was talking to Afro, and he said his stopped on the 3rd of Jan, but mine stopped on the 27th of Dec. He was in the EPL, I was in the SPL, maybe that had something to do with it.

Its 6 months worth of league play - so from the league start date to 6 months later apparently...
Im 9 games into my first season with Barent (league 2 England), current sitting top with 8 wins and 1 draw, my "star" striker has scored 13 goals, got him on a free :)

Edited by Funky Munky: 2/11/2009 04:13:06 PM SPL stops earlier because a) season starts earlier and b) they have a week's New Year break. EPL stops Jan 3rd. I'll be picking up my copy of FM10 tomorrow and I'll tell you all about it  To the guys who have already picked it up: Did you have any trouble installing it a'la last year?

I had no problems whatsoever with installing. A mate was installing it the morning it came out and he said Steam was going really slowly and it took a while for him but it only took a couple of minutes to do for me, i think that includes the release patch they install with it.
Im mainly getting into my game with Brondby. Ive got them 4 points off top spot about 20 games in, they look set to qualify out of their Euro Cup group and are in the semis of the Danish Cup, so far so good. Ive been using a 4-1-2-2-1 formation and the defence has been rock solid, only conceded 7 league goals. Theyve pretty much been 1-0 specialists. Noone has been really outstanding for me in attack.

I don't have the downloads for Steam. And I hate the thing.
I'll see how I go installing off the CD tomorrow.

I originally set it up off the cd, without steam, on a different computer. There was no difference really but Steam makes it more convenient with the patch done automatically and not having to have the disc in the drive whenever you play. But if you dont have the downloads and hate it, it should still install without a hitch off the cd.

Picked it up today but I'm far too invested in my 09 game to bother installing yet
Also, I have 09 and installed it from the CD, but don't need to have it in every time to play it? Possibly just me.

Nah, everyone who bought FM09 didn't need the disk to play, it was one of the features on it. That's why they had the 'seats' so people could only install it on 5 systems at any one time. It's different for FM10 now.

Each year they make it more and more fail to cut out bootlegging.
