Last two games of the season left and I have Liverpool and City, I wrapped up the title months ago so really I am playing for nothing but I have the power to keep one of them out of Europe next year and then beat City in the FA Cup final to ensure they go trophyless again, I love saddistical FM moments

We ended up Ko'ed of the CL at the group stages. Came last on 6 points, losing our last 2 games killed us.
Currently 1st in the EPL though, just lost 3-1 at United. We are 4 points ahead, they have a game in hand.
I have 5 of my 6 midfielders out injured.

Almost the most epic comeback last night.
Was away to Leeds, went 3-0 down before HT. At halftime I thought, why the fuck not, have a go. Took off a DC and DM and went to 3-4-3.
Scored two goals but couldnt get the third. Hit the woodwork twice too. Finished 2-3. So close to Istanbul.

Awesome. Our massive midfield injury rate costs us, out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round against Nott Forest who are 19th in the championship.

There should be an editor link in the start menu. Anyway, preparing for my new comp, I've been going through my shit and backing up stuff I needed. I found a bunch of old FM screenshots from ages ago: These 3 were probably the most devastating strike force I ever assembled in any FM game (or at least, without having started at like United or whatever). Those 3 tore teams apart for Wolfsburg. England being oh so predictable. This was my highest ever off until Juventus offered me 60 million for Valon Behrami in another game. What a way to win the title \:d/

Won the title \o/
Nice touch was in the board message, they said it was nice to get the title in our 150th year as a club.

Funky Munky wrote:3 Seasons into a new save with Bristol Rovers. Been improving every year. 1st Season: Relied mainly on loan signings to get anywhere apart from a new Keeper (Franky Fielding, got called up for England IRL the other week:p), we ended up finishing 10th
2nd Season: More loans, but made a couple of free transfers to get the basis of our own squad happening, and we did better. Spent all year in the top 6 and ended up finishing 3rd. Got knocked out of the Playoff Semi.
3rd Season: Only 2 loans this season, and a ton of new free transfers. Finished 4th, and made it to the Playoff Final.
So i've got the basis of a good squad, but needs a couple of improvements. And that's where the problems start. I've got no room in the Budgets to bring in any new players. Going to be tough, and the Board are expecting promotion. Since this post I've completed another 3 seasons. In that time I've: -Been Promoted from League 1 -Managed to finish 5th and make the Play-off's of our first CCC season. -Fail in said Play Off's -Suffer Hull Syndrome and Finish 16th the next season -Make an FA cup run into the Semi Finals before being knocked out by Arsenal -Sign Brett Holman -Sell Brett Holman -Sign a further 16 players. -Release/Sell 18 players. So it's been a rather hectic 3 years. Settled now for a full tilt at becoming a strong CCC side. Managed to sign Michael Johnson on a free, and some other improvements on the squad, should be able to finish top 10.

Holman? Really?
I'm planning for next season.
I brought in a loan AMR from Barca, he had a 2.8 million release clause in the loan deal, so I activated it and bought him, he'll be a good 2nd choice.
I need a backup keeper, as I'm getting rid of my current backup.
I also need a AML. I want this one to push for starting at either AML or AMR so the majority of my transfer funds will be going on this position. I have a target in mind, one of my old Vasco players, he's a AML DM (since Brazil plays a shitload of 4-2-2-2 with no wingers, alot of their players end up trained at MC and DMC).
The final position I want to fill is a 5th midfielder. Probably one in a more defensive outlook. I have 2 great AMC type midfielders, 1 great defensive midfielder, and 1 good defensive midfielder. I'd like another because I play 3 in midfield and want more cover.
Hopefully one of those will be a "trained in England" player, but if not, I'll need 1 more player to fill out my squad requirements in the CL and EPL of 8 nation trained players.

Hey, he was good at L1, Lower CCC level. Signed him on a free, sold him just now for 40k. Profit made, and got a good 2/3 years out of him.

I just realised I already have a 5th midfielder. He was out for 6 months so I'd stuck him in the reserves. So I might look for a 5th AM R/L instead.
I've got 4 spots left in my 25 man squad, 1 for the GK, 1 for the AML, 1 for whatever home grown player I can find, and 1 spare.

He did alright in the championship and still very young, media pressure gets to him a little but hopefully that will go away with age - I am really impressed with Emeka Chukwu though, he has been outstanding thus far a real force in the midfield - 194cm and 91kgs....

Started a save with Schalke and brought in Gonzalo Higuain, Weliton, Raul Meireles, Jadson, Lucas Biglia and Paulo Ferreira. The team looks good but I had to sell about three quarters of their squad to make these signings and they will take time to gel. Lining up like this. -------------Neuer------------- -Rafinha-Bordon-Westerman-Pander -----Jadson--Meireles/Biglia---- --Streit--------------Tratvenko- ---------Higuain---Weliton------ So far I'm happy with how we are playing but it is taking time, I only just signed Jadson for 1 mil and he looks to be adding a lot more flair, I like to play an attacking central midfielder and a more defenisve option to stablize things ala my Gourcuff Fletcher partnership in my United save. Biglia was brought in cheaply but has out performed Meireles so far, I'm really happy with that signing and Tratvenko is a regen I found who is described as a wonder kid. My only player concern is Christian Pander, has brilliant techincial stats but has a natural fitness rating of 2.
