The assistant will do that if they're over 30 to prolong their career and give you someone to put between the sticks if you lose your keeper...

Started a save at Aston Villa, just to get the hang of things. Just negotiated my first player contract, nearly shot a wad, love the way that is set up, so much. Conversations are brilliant too. Just signed Taye Taiwo from Marseille for 6M and just waiting on a WP for Oscar Cardozo for 12m. Trying to Offload Heskey and Reo-Coker, but no one's interested.

After two or three seasons, the Agents and negotiation does your head in. It's a pain in the fucking arse.

They're 25 and 28 respectively - I prefer to believe he's a fucking moron.

Had a good start with Villa. Highlights including a late 1-0 win at White Hart Line after defending well all match, and a thumping 4-1 win over Liverpool after being 1-0 down after 5 minutes. Got knocked out of the Europa League early, but the board didnt really care. Cardozo has finally scored after 5 matches, in our 3-0 win over Sheff Utd in the Carling Cup. Hopefully he steps up now, although he'll have to get past Agbonlahor, whose got 5 goals, including a HT v Liverpool.

EDIT: One thing I've noticed, if I create set pieces tactics using the creator provided, the set delivery methods don't stick to the tactic? So I set corners to Near Post and 6 Yard Box respectively, but when I go out of the Set Piece Creator, it just stays as 'Mixed'. So I have to change it again in the Team Instructions section.

Question: Should I buy this game? I'm not sure it'd run on my lappy, more with the graphics side of things.

Thoughts? I've got a Dell Studio 15, running an i7 processor.

I've never actually used that, I just usually set individual instructions like putting my tallest CB far post...do you think it makes a difference?

It's possible to scale back the graphics to suit your computer. I' using a brand new laptop to run it so I couldn't really tell you though.

It's no different to setting the individual instructions, it just gives you a visual representation of what it's doing, so you get a better idea of planning it out. Try it, it makes setting up Throws/FK's and Corners a lot easier/simpler.

I might use it for my throws. I've got Cassani making some killer throws but nine out of ten times, it's just cleared. If I could get Pato on the end of it...

City accepted but his agent is an absolute priock, no patience at all, so go Suarez for 12mil, cheaper and won't cause as many disturbances... although had a bid for Casano
that got accepted and he would have been good but Suarez age got him over the line... signed Sakho from PSG to bulk up my defence and bringing through one or two youth
players, bit funny thought, Kyle Naughton only played in Europe and in Cup games, didn't play a EPL fixture but got into the England Euro squad

Started a new save managing both Birmingham and Australia. Signed Milevski, Mamadou Diarra and Antonini from Milan. Started the season well, winning 3 out of my first 4 games. Looking for a Euro Cup spot at least with the squad I have.
Started off strongly with Australia winning my first three friendlies. Capped Gulum and slotted him straight into the left back position with Josh Rose his replacement. McDonald scored a hatrick in his first game and in the two games since he has scored 4 goals, hoping his purple patch will continue leading into the Asian Cup

Not sure but you have to remember he only just turned 16 so for a 15/16 year old to show that kind of potential is fairly immense.
