It depends. On hand, it's fairly boring because you're playing 11 teams repeatedly, and you're miles better than most of them.

On the other hand, it's a challenge holding off Rangers, and building a side that can actually compete in Europe.

I did it for my first ever FM save and quite enjoyed it. Left after 4 seasons though, and that's about as long as I think you can go without it getting stale.

I did it for two in my old one after i started out with Gretna... was fun but i took the team as far as i thought i could when i lost to Chelsea in ET in the CL Semi's... i took over with 6 weeks left in the season and scrapped a uefa cup spot, won that and the league ending Rangers domination, but wasn't going to be able to get into the champions league final i felt with the squad that i had

Stupid WC makes my pre-season too chaotic. I can only focus on one thing at a time and it makes it hard to find a replacement for Dzeko.

My best moment in any FM was in a career game where I ended up with Celtic, and won the ECL with them even with flip-flopping SPL titles with Rangers every year.

Started a game as Liverpool.

Have got Coventry away in FA Cup 3rd Round and got knocked out by Man Utd 1-0 in League Cup 3rd Round.

Has anyone bought Dzeko for their team? I just cannot seem to find the answer as to why he is not scoring. He has 1 goal all season and that was in the Europa League against Litex.

I had him in my City team. Couldn't score to save his life for the first half of the season. Then scored 5 against Wigan in an 8-1 win and couldn't stop scoring after that. Hit like 20 goals in 22 games after that.

Okk. My next match is against Wigan :lol: . Hopefully he can hit his straps soon.

5-2 win over Wigan. Torres got 4. Dzeko failed to score.

Torres now has 22 goals in 23 matches

I have had 3 players score 4 goals in a match in 3 consecutive games. Meireles, Torres and Torres.

I've had a similar problem with Dzeko. He struggled to find the goals in his first season but then January rolled around and he scored 14 goals in 27 games for the rest of the season. Since then he's scored just 18 goals in 70 games. His average is still 7.14, but he just isn't scoring and I'm thinking it's time to move him wrong, because he scored just 4 goals in 19 league apps last season and is demanding wages that match Fernando Torres. Not likely with that track record.

Trying to decide between Benzema, Lukaku and Higuain to replace him. I've got Torres and Pato already so I just need a player who can step up from being 'second string' with some kind of competence.

On the run home last season I had Torres score a hattrick at anfield in the ECL against CSKA, Pato scored a hattrick next game against Wolves, Torres then scored 5 IN Moscow to blow them out of the water and then Pato scored his second hattrick in two league games against Burnley. He then scored another hattrick two games later against Blackburn in the cup and they scored a brace each against Real Madrid in the ECL. So Pato scored 11 goals in 7 games and Torres scored 12 in 7. I scored in 54 consecutive games last season. Blew me away considering Dzeko couldn't find the back of the net at all.

I successfully guided Italy to World Cup champions. Defeated Tajikistan 4-1, Paraguay 2-0 and Drew 1-1 with Russia despite missing Daniele De Rossi to make it out of the group. Got Croatia in the round of 16, 1-0 winners after being cut to 9 men, had a successful appeal against Chiellini's red card.

My reward for beating Croatia was to play spain and I successfully shut them out of the game, closing down Villa, Torres and Iniesta to hold them all to 6.9 ratings, A Chiellini header just before half time was enough.

Things didn't get any better after beating Spain, Germany was awaiting. 0-0 at the half, three goals in ten minutes was enough to dismantle the stubborn German resistance and put me through to face Brazil in the final. It was a drab match, top rating 7.3, lowest rating 6.5. Giuseppe Rossi came on early in the second half and grabbed the only goal of the game. It wasn't pretty, but a World Cup is a World Cup!

Spain's job has become vacant and England's will soon follow with Hodgson retiring soon...I'm not planning on sticking things out with Italy, their team is good but lacks both depth and width - as much as I'm enjoying managing De Rossi Poli, Chiellini and Balotelli - I can see Buffon retiring soon and their defence will probably suffer even with Vivano between the sticks. I'm not sure whether I want to take over at Spain or England though. Both sides have some promising youngsters.

I've used Dzeko... he had a stellar season in my first year 20 odd league goals and i think close to 30 in all competitions... depends what system your using, what instructions are you using for him?... he slowed down in the 2nd season and wasnt as frequent (Pav was scoring heaps so i couldn't leave him out of the team, i have a biggish squad and constantly rotate) but he's scoring alot more in the back end of my 3rd year at Spurs... he works in tandem with Defoe as a sort of lil' and large combo up front, his passing in lead up play i've found is pretty good and he gets alot of assits and makes intelligent runs, at times if things aren't going great for him he can struggle but he's scored some insane goals for me like a 90thmin+ chip outside the box at Anfield to win it

Yeah with Dzeko I've found that if he's not scoring goals he's always getting assists. Well for me he was at least.

Been using Dzeko as an Advanced Forward or Target Man. He has 6 assists in 20 matches.

So after leaving Celtic, spent about 5/6 months unemployed, and then jumped at the chance to manage QPR in the CCC. Took over with them 10th after 14 games, and had a pretty cruisy first season in the CCC, and ended up winning by 7 points from 2nd. Was rewarded for my efforts with a 37m Transfer Budget and 2.1m worth of Wages to play with (Sugar Daddys ARE AWESOME). So the cash was splashed effectively, and my squad now looks like this:


Only 3 of that First XI were there from last season. Balotelli was a bargain at 7m, but I'm paying him 175k a week :lol:. After all that spending and all those wages, I've still got 100k breathing room in the Wage Budget. So much better than at Celtic :p.

Also taken on the Portuguese job, and having some good success with that too. A couple of amazing regens coming through their ranks, including a striker who, at only 20 years old, has already scored 50 EPL goals for Arsenal. Kids a freak.

right this is probably going to be my last season at spurs cause its from the original demo and i want a proper game with a bigger database so i have the option to manage on the continent, suggestions on where to start out because i'm worn out from playing with Liverpool on my old FM.... want abit of a challenge, but still be in europe?

France and Italy are always fun, if you pick a club outside the top 3/4 clubs.

Italy as tweaked my interest lately, i was thinking of having a crack at Napoli

Playing in Denmark as Brondby has been one of my favourite careers, id highly recommend it

Napoli is a good side, had some good times there.

Genoa tend to become a pretty strong side too, could be an option.

Genoa were incredibly difficult to break down, they played with a 343 when i played them in the champions league, made it hard to commit men forward when they've got 3 strikers up front

just got one of my best results in FM, got an away draw at the Nou Camp in the first leg of my Semi, 1-1 i've had 3 previous cracks at them coming to 2 losses and one home draw, but to get an away goal is crucial... going to go for it in the first 25mins in the 2nd leg @WHL and then maybe shut up shop and play on the counter to get away with a 0-0, not completely confident i can hold them out for 90mins but eh... problem is formation, 442 Diamond has been my regular system but used a 451 playing deep and everything committed to defending (even Dzeko was a defensive forward) away... don't think is can afford to play 442 against Barca but i want to play Defoe in some way

I just beat Barca 2-0 away in the Spanish Super Cup. With Sevilla. 3-2 on aggregate win for me.

Finished my first season with City. Finished 1st by 5 points. Dzeko being both top scorer and the most assists. Sold Suarez in the off-season and brought in Abel Hernandez and Khouma Babacar, and sent him out on loan, but not before he scored a hattrick on debut against LA Galaxy in a friendly. Hernandez has started the season on fire with 5 goals in 3 games.

Genoa are a team with a lot of potential just waiting to be relseased. They've got some quality players there when you start the game. Criscito and Veloso are great building blocks.
