Nantwich - Premiership 2031/2032 Media Prediction - 8th out of 20th. Actual Position - 1st.
Premiership Won
Having no European matches to distract us, we could focus on the league. The first part of the season we weren't great, the tactic I'd used to great effect in coming 2nd a couple years back wasn't going well, so I switched to another. It worked like a treat, we went on a 19 game unbeaten run.. all the way to the 3rd last game of the season, where we lost to Liverpool 1-0 in the 92nd minute.
So we went into battle with City, if I took the 3 points I won the league, if we drew or lost it'd go down to the last day.
There were 2 key moments. City's influential MC getting a straight red 25 minutes in, and a tactical shift towards the end of the half. We finally cracked them open in the 55th minute, and held our nerve to claim the win, and the league title.
In the Carling Cup, I played a 2nd choice team in the first match, only to get beaten 1-0 by MK Dons.
Chelsea again thwarted us in the FA Cup, we got all the way to the Wembley semi-final, then lost 1-0 when our team forgot their shooting boots.
Our facilities were improved again, we now have Top Training Facilities, and our Excellent Youth Facilities are nearly done with what I believe would be their last upgrade. I hope we can upgrade our youth recruitment network as well.
Financially.. we ended up having another loan taken out, 2 days before the end of the season, 16.75 mil chairman loan. We've now got £425,000 in monthly loan repayments. It's not really going to change for a while as well, the CL money will stop us from losing money next year, but with our 16,000 seat max stadium size we're basically screwed compared to the big guns. All I can really hope is that a takeover happens and a consortium wipes the debt. On the plus side, we've only got a couple months left on our last couple of transfer monthly payments, which will free up £600k. Which I will probably need to improve the squad.
Stadium loan of £5.75m (38.5k per month). 3 years left on that. Bank loan of £2.2m (9.25k per month) from the chairman leaving. 22 years left. Club Chairman Loan of £24.5m (156k per month) from our losses 2 seasons ago. 13 years. Club Chairman Loan of £18.5m (118k per month) from our losses last season. 14 years. Club Chairman Loan of £16.75 (106k per month) from our losses this season. 15 years.

Keeping the points ticking over huh?
I bought in Arturo Vidal for 11m...8 games, 5 goals, 7.84 average rating. Great start.

So, what's the worst penalty shoot-out you've been a part of? I just had one in the League Cup final with 18 penalties.

Deprived of FM at the moment, considering downloading the demo but that would probably be pointless on my grandmother's computer.

I had one which ended with the keeper saving, then scoring the winner.

So my team FC Twente save is king. European champions and have a world class team 6 seasons in, only original players that are still there are Douglas, Wout Brama and Bryan Ruiz. Everyone else was trash. Will post up all my stuff when I get my computer back.

I've seen one with 27 kicks each that finished 2-1...but I wasn't a part of it so it's not the same when you see it in the results and go 'oh wow...'

Craft SI, crafty. 30 minutes gone in my next game against Hull, already used all 3 subs on injuries. xnod
Still won 2-1 :smug:
Fractured arm for my AMC. Out for 4 weeks.
2 weeks for the ST/AMR.
1 week for the ST/AML.
And 3 minutes into our next match vs United our striker goes down with a knee injury. Out for 6 weeks. Currently have 5 first team players out injured.
Still won though. Have also qualified for the Group Stage in the CL.
:nono: 3 minutes into the next match my 2nd choice AMC gets a groin injury. The 2nd choice striker rounds the keeper.. then shoots wide on the opposite side. Bet we'll still win though.
1-0 xnod
Just got the irresistible force achievement on steam. 30 matches in a row scoring.
AMC is out for 4 weeks. But I'm giving him injections, since my only midfielders left at DM's.
Won the FA Cup Semi. 3-2 AET. Was up 2-0 at HT then gave away two cheap goals. Ref gave three penalties. Two us, one them, all converted. Players were dead on their feet by the end. We play City. Again. Beat Liverpool 2-2 AET then 5-6 on Pens.
Equaliser from City in the 92nd minute of regular time :o
Easy 3-2 win in the next league match vs West Ham again. Arsenal beat City 2-1. Still 5 points ahead, 3 games to play.
4-2 away win at Chelsea. Apparently we got 1 minute of injury time with 5 goals and 6 subs. Interesting.
Now to wait on the result of Arsenal vs Charlton. They are 17th so not expecting anything. 2-0 Arse. 82nd and 89th. Grr. The race goes on. Still 5 points clear, only 2 games now.
4-1 against West Brom secures the title \o/
Got 1 more EPL match, then the FA Cup Final.

Nantwich - Premiership 2032/2033 Media Prediction - 4th out of 20th. Actual Position - 1st.
Premiership Retained - FA Cup Won
Biggest moment here was the acquisition of a 26 year old German-Turkish ST named Adnan Bask for £15m. I added a young Barca player I'd brought in on loan for 7.5m as well, who also did well with his conversion to AML coming along well. Had great attributes, a great record at Sampdoria, and I needed a new striker/AMR, so I snapped him up. I then switched from a 4-3-3 style wing-forward tactic to a 4-4-2 wing-forward tactic and it worked excellently. We were only kept scoreless twice in the entire season, including the FA Cup, Champions League and Carling Cup.
We ended up on 94 points, 5 in front of Arsenal on 89. We won 30 games, drew and lost 4 each.
We continued our tradition of losing in the first round of the Carling Cup, going out to Liverpool when they scored 2 later goals to win 1-2.
In the CL we qualified easily from our group containing Atletico, Loko Moscow and Sheriff (Modolva), but fell to Lyon in the first KO Stage on the away goals rule after a 3-2 home win followed by a 1-2 away loss.
The FA Cup we had a relateively simple run, playing Exeter, Southampton, Gillingham, Bradford and West Ham (which was a 3-2 extra time thriller). This left us the eternal enemy Man City in the final. We were outplayed, but a switch to a more direct tactic + a half-time hairdryer paid off, scoring 2 quickly after the break. We then conceded a heartbreaking 92nd minute equaliser, but the boys stayed strong and we went to penalties. They missed their 1st and 4th, we only missed our 2nd, giving us a 4-2 shootout win.
I am now an 'Icon'.
Financially, we have not had to take out another chairman loan this year.
Stadium loan of £5.75m (38.5k per month). 2 years left on that. Bank loan of £2.2m (9.25k per month) from the chairman leaving. 20 years left. Club Chairman Loan of £24.5m (156k per month) 12 years. Club Chairman Loan of £18.5m (118k per month) 13 years. Club Chairman Loan of £16.75 (106k per month) 14 years.

Took the Lazio job. Assembled a pretty good squad, bringing in Zezinho and a good LB. Had Zuniga lined up for RB but it was cancelled because of stupid rule that you can't sign more than 2 non EU per season ](*,). Had a good start to the season.
--------Floccari--Zarate-------- Zezinho----------------Amrabat ------Hernanes---Ledesma---- Masilela-Radu-Andre Dias-Zapata -------------Muslera---------
Not extremely happy with the backline, still have 12 million so will fix that up in January.

Chairman injected 33 million at the start of the season
Made 6 signings.
27yo Spanish CB for £15m (3.5 star CA) 17yo German ST for £3.2m (4 star potential) 18yo Argie GK for £1.8m (3.5 star potential) 18yo Spanish DL for £2.5m (3.5 star potential) A Loan CB for £375k (2.5 CA) A Loan ST for £400k (2.5 CA)
Sold the annoying mistake prone 28yo Dutch CB to City for 16.75.
Trying to offload a 24yo DL who sucks, but no-one seems to want him.
In my team I currently have The Next: Amadeo Carrizo (A GK from the 50's and 60's) - Argie GK Guti - 18yo Spanish AMC Christian Vieri - 22yo Italian ST Klinsmann - 18yo German ST Laurent Blanc - Loan CB

  So true.
Going well with Lazio, top of the table after 5 games.
Beat Austria 2-1 away from home with Ireland. Need to pip Denmark to 2nd place to potentially qualify for WC.

I hate it when a plan works too well sometimes. I was hoping to walk away from The Bernabeu with a 2-2 draw, 2 away goals and a home leg up the sleeve to kill things off. Instead my tactics work too well, Pato scores a hattrick and I demolish them 4-1 and now I have to worry about complacency in the second leg.

The new CB and ST score on debut
Had an.. interesting first game of the EPL season.
Away at Everton.
We score 2 in the first half, so I swap my AML with my STL and my AMR with my STR. Two strikers are both retraining to play in the wing-forward position.
Everton score 2 straight after half-time. ](*,)
So I swap them back.
I switch to play more direct, and then bring on subs at AML and ST (the aforementioned 17 year old).
They both score =d>
We end up winning 5-2 :p
Also beat Arsenal 1-0 in the Community Shield. \:d/

ok...I've had Edin Dzeko score just one goal from 25 games this season, sold him on to Juventus because...well that's just NOT GOOD ENOUGH. So now I need a replacement striker, it's 2015, I'm playing with Liverpool. Little help?

Lukaku is pretty average in my game. He's at Benfica and scoring one every three games on average.
I'm looking at Hulk, but at 28 and valued at 9m I think Porto will want a kings ransom and that just doesn't represent value for money.
There's a young regen striker at Espanyol who's scored 27 goals in 27 games, but I think it's going to cost me circa 18m to sign him which seems a little steep

Knife always delivers \o/
Just smashed United 4-1.
Tactical Change at HT
Went from 4-4-2 to a 4-2-3-1 (Swapped an ST for a AMC), they were lined up in 442 and going to the ST/AMC in the middle of the pitch pulled them way out of position.
Went from 1-1 to 2-1, then 3-1 then 4-1.
