I have giovinco in a free role. gerrard and nasri are dropping back to cm and masch is pushing up from dm to cm. guardado is starting at wb and pushing up to aml. its a pretty kick ass line up. then ive got sissoko, banega, lucas, babel, capel, aurelio, arbeloa, agger, kuyt, balotelli, zeefuik, russotto, torje, insua, sahko and cathcart in reserve. also some shitty players like voronin and benayoun who im holfing out for 5mil offers before i sell. theyre a pain in the ass.

That's a nice looking team, but I have to say that Guardado at a Left-Back or Left wing-back is a bit of a waste, he's incredible on the wing. I've had over 30 assists from him.

cant get amauri. giovinco is a gun. hes come in and had a piece in about 8 goals in 4 matches.

I've had an eye on him IRL all season and it's been something special to watch given his tender years.

I'm playing FIFA 09 in manager mode with Barca. The financial power is hilarious. I've got 229m to play with and gain 1.5m every match. The classic 4-3-3 works a treat with Henry in the middle, Messi and Bojan on either side. In the centre of the park Xavi, Iniesta and Skejlbred take rein while the steady back four (or should I say 2 as the full backs hardly defend:p) is Abidal, Pique, Pujol and Dani Alves. The up and comers on the bench are Sergio Busquets, Al-Thynnyian (Egyptian forward), Murtagh(Moroccan WB who goes up 8 when played as a winger), Nordveit, Briand, Carceras and Barragan. They all get to 86 or above besides Carceras who gets to 83. I'm halfway through my second season and playing all right.

got pissed off earlier today at fifa online.. game before, 1-0 win vs barca, Ronaldo lob. Play another guy, barcelona again, 1-1, then in about a defensive midfield area, I'm trying to clear a ball with Ferdinand.. 5 kicks in a row get hit straight at another player, before it bounces back towards goal, eto is the only player who reacts, and he scores. Was ridiculous, I quit in frustration.

Also had 2 good games against some other random, he picked Australia and I beat him with Uruguay (scored my first ever FK in a match with a forlan curler around the wall) then late on sealing the points by latching onto a suicidal backpass, rounding the keeper who was outside the area and slotting it home), rematched and beat him with again but with Northern Ireland.

Fifa still frustrates the hell out of me. Half the time I feel like throwing the controller at the TV. Players who can't recognise a player making a run for a through ball (just played a guy with Totenham with Bently carving me up), being auto-switched to the wrong player and thus letting the other guy get a free shot at goal, having every.fucking.clearance rebound off another player and create a chance, being unable to actually pass without 4 of the other team immediately smashing my player and taking the ball. GRRRRR. It's like a bad game of football manager, except with added annoyance because I'm actively trying to stop my team screw up, but it's not working.

FIFA Manager 3D mode is a LOT worse. Imagine constantly having your team screw up, in particular the keeper and then a few minutes later seeing a player hit a powerful shot only for the guy standing a metre ahead of him to the perfect volley into the top corner... quick reactions eh? And don't forget you have no control over that at all!

I got FIFA 09 yesterday for a birthday present.
Played some manager mode with Liverpool, doing alright.
Started a Be a Pro mode. Created my own character, starting overall of like 67.
Played really well with Sydney for a while and got called up into the National Side. Played in a friendly v Germany but didnt score.
Then got called up into a 2nd string Australia squad. Scored twice in a 3-0 win over China.
Then got called up into the real Australia side again for a friendly v Slovenia. Set up the first and scored the second in a 2-0 win. Pretty stoked :) :P

Bought FIFA for pc (my mum has a thing about us getting xbox and wont let us, but i think shes slowly starting to change her mind) but yeah, its shithouse on pc, no arena, the layout is different, completely, graphics are not the same, its like fifa just took an older version and changed the year on the cover, really pathetic. SO i went to check if my gamestore would take it back as its only been one day, and they refuse, so now i have to try and flog it before i can get pro evo. i dont want to buy pro evo, because then i would have wasted my 80 bucks on fifa. i want to get my money back first or at least exchange it. plus i have fm coming soon and so thats another 80 bucks going there.

might be a bit of the topic but had a few problems with fifa 2009 with the download manager not updating the game meaning i cudnt play online without the current updates on pc and decided to uninstall and reinstall it to try and fix it...then as re-installing it cant seem to find the case anywhere with the cd key on it..anyone want to give me there cdkey or no of any sights were i can get a cd key from?
