where do i go to sign free agents? and is there a transfer market page or do i have to know the player im looking for?

if it's fifa you're using, when you go to the transfer market page, you press R2 [if it's a playstation] to do a search. then you go to the option right at the bottom and choose 'free agent'.
for fm i think you go to the page with all the transfers and then you can sort it by status [youth, interested clubs, free agent etc.]

i don't think that makes sense.:-s

I know the fifa one but im still manouvering my way round FM.

go to player search and you can change the filters show it only shows players who are out of contract

A couple of players I'm looking to sign for my team, they're not youth prodigies nor expensive players but they seem handy, and reasonably priced too :-$

Obina - 25 y.o. Brazilian striker playing for Flamengo, tallish... he should be able to score a few goals.

Dario Veron - 28 year old Paraguayan defender playing for Pumas in Mexico. He's got a few national team caps.

daniel from wellington pheonix is quite good isnt he? good enough for sheffield utd.

got o you player search > filter > 'customise' > change one of the filters to 'contract status' > 'expiring' will give you players who expire within 12 months, you can then approach players who expire within 6 months and 'expired' is self explanatory.

Don't bother, i'm very familiar with him, he's temperamental and a waste of time.

He's ok, but you can get Balotelli, he's better, probably cheaper and he'll do the job.

You mean the guy at Inter? I doubt I'll get him cheaper than I did with Obina... 200k, and I was being generous. Obina's been scoring regularly but he's had a couple of minor injuries.

Im at sheffield and this guy showed up on my squad list, said he was unhappy at inter milan and must have been automatically signed by the other staff. Senincan or something, hes a 17 yo striker ripping up the reserves, he was put in my 18s but he ripped them up so i moved him into the reserves and hes doing the same thing. What do you think about that?

If he was signed by the other staff he shouldn't affect your finances. If he keeps doing well in your reserves, give him a senior game already.

That's a good option if you then go after Ratinho, Clerc or Rafinha for RB.

mk - I had a look for this "Senincan" bloke...I can't find him. If he's ripping it in the reserves too and he's got half decent stats, give him a run in the first team. that should spur on some of his development and you might see him make something of himself. I recommend startign him in a less important cup match if you can, or bringing him on off the bench in a league game you're up in.

It will effect your finances, it just won't count out of your transfer budget.

No, RB's fine... I got Manuel Pablo for the time being and Barragan looks like a decent prospect. I'm currently doing some scouting for a left-back and a possibly a new striker.

Senicanin, italian, 17 at first, hes not that good, hes made 18 appearances in the ressies, 12 goals and 5 assists. good for a 17yo.

188cm, 83kg, top atts- 18 free kicks, 17 acceleration, 15 first touch, 17 nat fitness.

OK, now I found him on the net. Luca Senicanin, Italian midfielder in the Sheffield United youth academy... says he's a 'new signing' on the net, maybe it was a built in transfer in the game :-k

Left back you want to be looking at antonio Lopez, Dominic Criscito, Omar Esparaza or Christian Pander.
Striker...Bojan, Aaron Niguez, Giovinco, Benzema Adriano [If he's not getting a game, you can get him for about 9mil!!] or Huntelaar.

I think you'll find mk mis playing with the 7.0.2 patch, he'll have been signed in january and the patch is indiscriminant of timing for january moves altered in the database. Although, he was at sheffield in mine too...He's at Ascoli now, and certainly of championship quality, even low prem quality...keep hold of him and play him frequently mk, he'll be good.

Sounds like you guys are all experts at FM. So I ask you how good is Valeri, Williams, Vidosic, Spiranovic, Burns, Milligan and any other Olyroo/ young Aussie.
