MVFC & CFC have signed a mutually beneficial partnership where MVFC Youth will have the esteemed doors of the Chelsea Youth Academy opened to develop them into the stars of the future. Chelsea see Melbourne as a hotspot of potential Chelsea talent. On the flipside, Chelsea will utilise Melbourne Victory as a club to send their own up-and-coming players on loan as to keep them fit when they are not receiving game time in the English Premier League. Chelsea have agreed in principle to a season-long loan of 20 year old England U21 international right-back Sam Hutchinson as an injury replacement for Matthew Kemp in the 2010/2011 A-League season. Proof of the agreement has started appearing around Stamford Bridge on game day.

Nice work. You guys might have a partnership with the English "Blues", but we've got a partnership with the American "Blues". Yep, the super soccer world power, otherwise known as Miami FC! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_FC

Fuck yes.
Would love to see perhaps one loan a year from Chelsea, really make use of the tie. Could also see Chelsea downunder maybe once every two years? Heck, maybe even every year, take the long route home from their American tour and play a game of footy \:d/

Hmm dont get your hopes to high up. Remember Central Coast have a partnership with Sheffeild Utd and Perth are a feeder club to Man City and neither have gotten any major or obvious benefits from these agreements.

These types of agreements are ridiculous. As has been said, CCM and Perth got nothing out of their deals with Sheffield and City, and let's not forget the Football Kingz had a deal going with Chelsea (in which nothing happened) while the New Zealand Knights had a deal going with Charlton which yielded similar fruit.
I stand corrected, the Charlton coach (whose name escapes me, you know, the ugly guy) visited one of our games at North Harbour Stadium and mentioned that are facilities are better than those of Portsmouth. He then said how with a bit more organization and money we'd be a far better club, 6 months later we folded. Add to all that his trip here was to visit family, just so happened the Knights got wind of it and he was to polite to deny them.

Spirit - Rangers Kingz - Chelsea Knights - Charlton Glory - Leeds Glory - Man City Mariners - Sheffield United Victory - Chelsea
Who wants to add to the list of joke partnerships ? We could make the definitive list.
