Absolutely - the fact that he's opted to play for free is a huge point too, because there can be no doubt that the Knights would have been quite happy to put him on contract. I doubt if he'd have done that with many other clubs.

BIG BACKLASH IN THE MIDST!!!!!!!!

Love it how they move danny tiatto and mark bosnich to grass roots hahahah what a joke of a forum and website

In fairness mate, Tiatto is only playing for the Knights in order to prove his fitness to Melbourne Heart.

As for the move to grass roots - the 442 definition of grass roots is anything relating to the state leagues and youth team football.

For the record - there's a Tiatto to the Knights thread on the Aussie forum that hasn't been moved. This one, as far as I can see (and I may be wrong) was initially posted in this forum rather than Aussie.

Why would they be worried. They would be happy Olympic are trying to diversify and not give a shit about an over the hill hatchet.

If you don't like the site stop posting. I am sure nobody will complain.

Danny Tiatto has joined his old club, Melbourne Knights.

Quote:
Prodigal son Danny Tiatto has returned to his old stomping ground, the Melbourne Knights.

The 23-cap Socceroo appears set to end his career with a guest stint at the club at which he made his name, after agreeing to his return with Knights president Ange Cimera earlier today.

He is likely to play the club’s opening two home games – the first against Heidelberg United on Monday March 8 – before deciding on his future.

“We’re absolutely rapt,” Cimera said, adding Tiatto had signed as an amateur and would play for free.

“What he is saying is that he got his name here through the Melbourne Knights. He originally said he’ll play our first two home games … then he’ll see how he feels and how his body takes it and he’ll then decide what to do.”

Tiatto, 36, left A-League club Brisbane this season after falling out with coach Ange Postecoglou.

His decorated career included pit stops in Italy and Switzerland, though it was England – with Manchester City – in which the attacking left-sided player enjoyed his best football.

He played for the Knights from 1994-96 and was a member of the club’s back-to-back National Soccer League championship-winning team.
