Quote:Premier League: Blacktown FC annihilate Sydney Olympic in round four 22 Mar 10 Premier League: Blacktown FC annihilate Sydney Olympic in round four Prolific goalscorer Tolgay Ozbey has brought his golden boot to Blacktown City FC. FORMER Sydney Olympic players Tolgay Ozbey, Ante Deur and coach Aytek Genc made a triumphant return to Belmore in Blacktown City FC’s colours. Within the first 25 minutes of arriving at their former home ground - Belmore Sports Ground - Ozbey and Deur had their new side Blacktown 2-0 up. Deur bagged his second shortly after the second-half re-start, before Luke Roodenburg entered the fray off the bench to round out the 4-1 win for Blacktown in the 75th minute. The win ensures Genc’s team (also returning to the club he coached in the early stages of 2009 season) holds a share of top-spot with Marconi Stallions after four rounds of Premier League competition. Blacktown assistant coach Mark Crittenden said they were happy with the result. “We had a lot of young boys playing today and more experience on the bench so we were very impressed with them,’’ he said. “We came here with a game plan to frustrate them in the middle of the park and get them on the counter and it worked a treat.” http://blacktown-advocate.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/premier-league-blacktown-fc-face-sydney-olympic-in-round-four/

The ultras will grow Okay so you have their backing Woop dee doo. If the crowd does not arrive then what?? you wil just back track and make excuses. Now in all seriousness I am trying to get everyone to calm donw and talk respectfully toward each other so mouthing off about things that may or may not effect crowd figures is just antagonising people. Continue to support Olympic and be an Ultra by all means but think before you talk something up about the consiquences of what you say. If Olympic can get 3,000 people to matches that is Fantastic and you should always aim high (to hit the top of a tree with a rock you need to aim for the sky: Ganhdi) but you should also be modest in what you say so as to not give your detractors fuel to throw on your self made fire.

The 4-1 loss was very disappointing and we were out classed from kick off whistle to end whistle. Thankfully we have in my opinion, the most promising goal keeper in all of Australia (outside of the HAL and Youth League), who prevented us from further being flogged. I will be over the moon if Olympic keeps getting crowds of over 1000 for the entirety of the season, which I believe can be achieved. In the 2009 season we had the highest crowd average of 859 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_Premier_League_2009#Attendances ) and we finished 8th that season and no where near the top 5. I don't see why we can maintain a good crowd even if we are losing. However, naturally, like any sporting Club in Australia, if our team is going well, we will be getting better crowds. I believe if we beat Manly on Sunday at Cromer Park, we can very well get 1500 people to Belmore in the following round against Rockdale. It is very much achievable, as long as we defeat Manly.

I never said Zanelli (Olympic's Keeper) is the best in the league. I just said he was the most promising. He is only 19, started consistently at first grade last season, and is having excellent performances. Difference between Best and Promising ;)

Good to see a level headed and honest Syd Olympic supporter in these parts. You sound like a seasoned Ultra from the NSL days. I hope you are teaching some Mentality to these younger guys who are mouthing off and bringing the name of the Olympic Ultras in to Disrepute.

Nah I'm actually just 20 years old, but I just came back from being in Greece for 2 months, and spent a lot of time with Gate 13. So naturally i learnt a lot on the European/Greek Ultra scene and got a lot of inspiration from that to continue it with our beloved Club Olympic.
