Charlie Miller has applied for an age exception to join the Gold Coast over 35's as an underage player.
Gold Coast over 35 officials have asked all teams to vote to allow, as an exception, Charlie (34) to play in the Local competition as a means to keep fit during the off season in his bid to rejoin the A-league next season.
Gold Coast Over 35 soccer association see's Charlie as a potential ambassador with hopes of lifting the profile of the league, "The committee feel that Charlie's status could give the Gold Coast Over 35 some recognition in the soccer world as more is needed on the Gold Coast and especially the Gold Coast City Council Parks and Garden"
Gold Coast Over 35 Soccer hope to have finalised voting this week to allow Charlie to begin playing as early as Monday 29th March.
