Ok just something I've noticed this season with the NSWPL. I don't know what it is but every Marconi home game there is no crowd listed. Every other team has a crowd listed for their home games except Marconi.

I know Marconi have had abysmal crowds for a long time and have no fans anymore there are consistently more away fans than Marconi fans at home games, but surely crowds can't be that embarrassingly low that they can't be mentioned.

Any thoughts?

The only time they mentioned the crowd was when they versed BWE when (to my memory) there was 2500 people at the game.

Maybe the crowds are that embarrassingly low they don't even want to mention how many people were at the game. At the same time, West Syd Berries mention when they get a crowd of 100...

I think it comes down to the Club wanting to say how many people were at the game.

SC58, what would you say the crowd was? More Cro's then Marconi fans i would assume? Did the EPU come out in good numbers and put up a good performance?

Unfortunately I couldn't go due to work commitments so can't comment on what the crowd was like but going by last years derbies I'm guessing 200-400 with 70% of that being United fans. EPU would have put in a good solid 90 minute performance as always.
People just don't turn out to Marconi anymore.

Obviously they are too low to mention, a shame really for a club with such history

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Marconi hasnt had any fans for over a decade now. They get a couple of hundred pensioners to home games and the rest is made up of some of their juniors and things like that. Theyre always outnumbered at home by both Sydney United and BWE fans

As for EPU and their performance at the game... They were all handed bans by the board a couple of weeks ago. Another great strategic move by the club

edensor is 100% spot on.

lastnight though, a good 80% were sydney croatia fans...

and it was good to see the boys get up, after a few poor weeks.

Not a Phase, Not a Trend, SYDNEY UNITED till the END!

Why were you handed bans...?

Do you plan to still try to go to home games?

As well as away games?

Think the issue can be resolved ASAP?

you lot are a huge asset to the league, hope you can get back in action asap.

Im not part of the EPU. The EPU are a core group of about 20 boys in their late-teens with a few others on the fringe.

A large number of them have been banned for home and away fixtures. The reasons? Who knows... the board gave some dodgy reasons but they really were quite poor

What will happen? Who knows... If the board have any sense they will work this out properly without resorting to bans and alienating a whole generation of United fans

This is spot on.

Without these guys, Sydney Croatia can end up being the next Marconi in 20 years time...
