I've been so hyped in the last hour or two, I've re-watched the Italy v Australia 2006 World Cup highlights for the first time in 4 years.

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/police-fears-over-world-cup-live-site-20100430-tzau.htmlWill be there regardless. Annual leave being negotiated. Police fears over World Cup live site JULIAN LEE AND MATTHEW MOORE May 1, 2010 DARLING HARBOUR will be converted into the biggest late-night pub in the land for the month of the soccer World Cup, with up to 30,000 fans drinking through the night while watching the games live. A meeting on Monday between the Premier's department, police and caterers will discuss whether alcohol should be sold until dawn. Paul Valenti, the general manager of Gema Group, which is catering for the event, said an application for a special event licence would be lodged but it was too early to say if the licence would cover serving alcohol until 6am when the last match finishes each day. NSW Police are objecting to strong liquor or full-strength beer being sold in the early morning. The City Central commander, Mick Fuller, said police were anxious to limit alcohol consumed at the sites and would push for restrictions on any licence granted by the Office of Liquor and Gaming. ''From our experience when you limit the strength of alcohol it has a positive impact,'' he said. There would be ''a big police commitment'' to ensure crowds stayed under control at Darling Harbour and the overflow site at Tumbalong Park. Fences would restrict access. Monday's meeting would discuss restrictions similar to those in place at late trading pubs, such as limits on the number of drinks sold to one person at a time and bans on selling spirits after a certain time. Sydney is one of six cities - the others being Berlin, Mexico City, Paris, Rome, Rio de Janeiro and the host nation, South Africa - which have negotiated deals with soccer's governing body to host the live sites, which will provide a platform for soccer sponsors including Budweiser. Those Australians who might not want the Budweiser experience will be able to drink Hahn Super Dry. The brewer Lion Nathan, which markets Budweiser in Australia, is expected to offer lower alcohol beer. The NSW government, which is running the event in conjunction with FIFA, has refused to give any details about how it plans to run the ''fan fest'' or to release a copy of its agreement with FIFA. Alcohol has been served at smaller events such as the Rugby World Cup but the number of expected spectators and the early hour makes the soccer event unprecedented.

World Cup fever really hit me Sunday night, after I was calmed down about the Canberra Raiders coughing up an 18 point lead at half-time to lose to the Souths.

I am pretty ramped up about it. I have looked at the official gear but have decided to go with the Official Target range as i wouldn't be caught dead wearing the crap that Nike have dished up.
I've already started to orgnise my mates in to getting only Blue Socceroos gear and starting a new supporters group called the Aussie Blue boys.
I have been working on a few chants incorporating the blue and Gold of Australia.
For example:
Chim chiminee, Chim chiminee, Chim chim cheroot, We are those bastard in the gold and the blue
We're blue, we're gold, We're Fucking Mental don’t you know, Socceroos, Socceroos

Probably safe to say that anyone reading a WC forum 45 days before kick off has just a little bit of fever going on.
Wow only 45 days, I just got goosebumps.
I also just yawned in anticipation of how entirely sleep deprived I'm going to be for the whole tournament.

The anticipation is killing me.
I'm driving my girlfriend absolutely nuts by mentioning it every day. She's a pretty big football fan herself, but she's getting a little sick of me talking about the Australian team all the time.
I'm basically typing 'socceroos' into google every hour to hear any new news. I find myself checking fifa.com and bigsoccer every five minutes. I keep checking out youtube for replays, and highlights from the Serbian, German and Ghana teams.
I'm searching frantically for torrents for the socceroos World Cup games, but can't find them(If anyone has torrents for the matches, PM me please :)).

Anyone got it yet? No, not the newspaper pull-out in the Daily Telegraph, more the sheer excitement and the eagerness for World Cup football.
Personally, I am tearing my hair out and cannot wait.
C'MON AUSSIE!!!
