We all know he's not gonna be fully fit. He hasn't been fully fit his whole career

Not since his leeds days at any rate.

He wasn't fully fit last time around either, but he was still one of our best and made some absolutely crucial plays against Croatia. It's unfortunate timing, but hopefully he shines when he gets there/

I dont think there is any doubt that he will be fit for the Germans. If he wasnt they would come out and say it. Pim has always been honest when assessing players opportunities. Its just the Australian media starting to make a few little excuses so they can look back and say we had injured players if we get knocked out at the group stage. Becuase lets face is they are in the 2nd hardest group there. Its 50/50 chance of getting out pretty much, hopefully with a bit of luck we can but the Australian media is covering themselves incase we dont.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harry doesn't play in any warm up games at all. As Pim said there, he's happy that Harry could come out with no preparation and do something great in a game. With that in mind he's more likely to risk Harry having less match preparation than risk playing him and aggravating the injury prior to the Germany match!

As much as I want to see him play in the NZ game, it is in Australia's best interest to give someone else a chance, i'd be happy to see Mc donald up front and scoring or Oar tearing it up the wing or even Garcia putting pressure on the others to make the final cut.

I'd also be happy to see Federici and Jones get a half each.

doesnt look like he'll make it to the farewell game against NZ though with reports saying "Verbeek said he would not consider using Kewell in a May 24 match in Melbourne against New Zealand, which is also South Africa-bound.

“Harry will not be ready for a game like that, it would be too much risk, especially for a player going up and down time zone differences,” Verbeek said."

Please God, let Harry be fit...............puleeeeeeeeease.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Pim: Kewell Will Be Fit In Time?
SOCCEROOS coach Pim Verbeek says he has no concerns over the fitness cloud hanging over Harry Kewell and is confident his star player will be ready to go in time for next month's World Cup in South Africa.

Have your say[-o<
