I have rostered days off that will cover me for the days the Austrralians are playing. as for the rest, 4am get up ain't so bad and 9:30pm is an 11:30 finsh, not so bad and only limited sleep for a month is easy to deal with.

two weeks holidays booked for the group phase. Will have to wing it, sleep wise from there !

Well here's the thing... I'm taking 8 weeks annual leave, starting a week before the tournament. We're expecting a baby, so might only have to miss a game or two when my missus has to give birth.

Well here's the thing, believe it or not I have actually resigned pending the end of the world cup (Although to be fiar i am off to Europe for a while) but still will have the benfit of every game live and uninterupted! get the fuck in!

I will also support this. I'm only a casual but there is no1 else who can work on the monday, so no sickie for me.
My quick look over the schedule shows a fair few good games in the 4.30 timeslot. My manager understands my commitment :p

I had trial HSC exams during the last World Cup and had no problems being up at all hours of the night before heading to school and knocking over an exam. This time I've got 4 uni exams, thankfully none clash with Socceroos games so I'll probably just sacrifice the 4 nights before them and not watch the games

Too much on at work to even contemplate time off, but no hope in hell that i'll miss any Aust Games, but will have to be selective with what else i can watch!

I've already told me boss I want some days off. I just have to give him a list. I also told him it may be a rolling list that will change as the weeks go by :lol:

The trick is having multiple bosses so they don't know who has to check into your legitimacy.

I plan on taking sickies if I'm on morning shifts after any games, which I almost certainly am.

Hit the nail on the head mate, its a trial! I still have fond memories of being suspended from my final week in Year 11, which was trial exam week, still laugh at the old man going troppo at the principle trying to get him to understand I wasnt being punished but infact starting holidays a week earlier! Good times!

working nights for the first fortnight of the world cup. mixed blessing. will be able to watch if things are reasonably quiet, and will be good to stay in the time frame on my nights off. but may miss a bit. hmm.

N/A. Can't take a sickie because I have uni exams for the first week then uni holidays for the rest of the World Cup.

I've got TAFE the first 2 weeks of the tournament and then holidays for the end of it. Only go 3 days a week so will use the day for sleep:lol:
