They better improve. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article No Panic For Pim? SOCCEROOS boss Pim Verbeek says there is no cause for panic in the wake of Australia's unflattering 2-1 win over lowly New Zealand on Monday night, insisting his team will improve dramatically between now and the start of the World Cup.Have your say.

If Ver Beek wants so desperately to take moore, it shouldn't be at the expense of somebody that is up to the level of play that moore isn't. Take him as a consultant or physio or something, but he hasn't earned his place.

The 4-2-3-1 system sucks. We grind out wins against poor opposition because the formation is toothless. I bet Jesus and Scotty could have formed a great partnership at the front over the last few years if Pim wasn't so stubborn. There's a fair chance we won't even score over there given last night's performance. Shithouse!

I really hope the predictions in this article of who will make the final squad are well off the mark. It's nearly the total opposite of what I'd like to see.

4-2-3-1 Sucks... Pim chooses McDonald, but this style does not suit him as he is not a lone striker. Pim must then choose whether to change his formation or not play him in the starting 11. (The latter will unfortunately be more likely)
It would be much better if we utilised a 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield and had both Jesus and Scott up front... It gives a bit extra defensive support that he wants, but also provides some firepower up front. Something we have been lacking for the entire campaign.

I think the following four wont make the plan GALEKOVIC, HOLLAND, LOWRY, North
And he'll cut these bloke June 1st: OAR, JEDINAK, CARLE, GARCIA
That's just my opinion and I hope i'm wrong cause i'd like to see Carle instead of old balls Moore.

Our next coach needs to look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Australian side and utilise a formation which embraces it. Pim has been fantastic for the developement of the game here in Australia and whilst his record is impressive, we never really shined under him. Rather than adapting his tactics to suit the squad, Pim has attempted to mould the squad into fitting his tactics. This may work very well at club level, where you can buy and sell players which fit into the system, but at national level a coach must work with the players at his disposal (unless you're Qatar and you 'import' ex-Brazillians hehe).

Absolutely, the team can get a lot better, if only they had a football coach as opposed to a man manager and spin doctor. Please FFA any chance of getting Hidding for for 10 weeks.
The present system & style of the Austrlian team is simly un-watchable. SAD TO SEE THE GROUND FOOTBALL HAD MADE IN aus ALL BEEN ERODED.

Very true. That was the difference between him and Hidink.

sure the formation is frustrating , but the reality is in the world cup there is a focus on not conceding goals. Taking the game to the opposition we have in South Africa wouldn't be to smart. Best chance we have in the group stage is to focus on controlling the game and not losing rather than all out attacking. If they don't score we can't lose , but the defending had better smarten up , think the kiwi game has exposed our lack of depth in that department.

Pim might not be worried but I think every football supporter in Australia is.
Pim has never been a good enough coach and he has proven this time and time again with the "system" that he continues to play.

Can't believe anyone would contemplate not taking Jedinak after his excellent performance on Monday.
