Least we scored a goal and got a point, here's hoping Germany thrash Ghana and we can pull of an upset.

Just need Ghana to beat Germany and we beat Serbia we are through.

I can't speak for any-one else but, I, for one am extremely proud of the socceroos. It was a bloody courageous effort.

Absolutely. 110% effort. We looked excellent when Kennedy was on the pitch and hopefully we take something from it into the Serbia game and we can put a couple past them.

A five goal turn-around isn't unachievable, but it's a bloody long shot.

Needless to say, if we'd had 11 men, we could have won that game quite comfortably. Very disheartening to see that after Kewell got sent packing, but definitely something to take to the Serbia game knowing that we're capable of scoring two or three goals if we play like that again.

the socceroos can hold their heads up with this performance. mathematically we are still in it but our world cup is over. i feel very sad for harry kewell, i feel like he earned his place in the lineup and was screwed over by that douchebag ref. yes its a handball on the line but it was clearly unintentional. i am very sad for the player and i think he has earned more than this.

the refs have been completely awful. we all deserve better.

In all honesty Ghana will be going for the win and are every chance of getting a win.

People would have said Switzerland beating Spain would be impossible and North Korea playoff like they did against Brazil would be impossible. Everyone on the panel is saying we hope Ghana get a hiding. I don't want to hve to rely on GD i'd rather cheer Ghana on to beat Germany and we go through.

I wouldn't. I'd love to see Germany put six past Ghana and we beat Serbia.

even if ghana beats germany we could still go through - just correcting myself.

however i dont think that will happen. that being said, i want to see australia play their hearts out (again) and show the world what they can do. at the very least they can be spoilers for serbia and knock out a good european side.

End of the day - if that was a defender from Ghana, and it was on their line - we'd all be up in arms if the ref didn't give a penalty.

I've seen similiar instances waved away (in this World Cup if I'm not mistaken) though and I think that's what's pissed everyone off.

And hopefully finish the game with 11 men :lol:

Bottom line is, the decision has been made. The player was sent off (whether correctly or not), the penalty was scored, the point was 'stolen' (if you will), full time was blown. There's absolutely fucking NOTHING that can be done about it now, but it was 1-1 and an amazing performance from Australia and we're on the board, we're still alive in the tournament.

You really don't like spain do you?

Forget the result, the ref and all the drama...after that performance I'm proud of the boys, proud to be Australian...Pim if only we'd played like that for the last three years!

im ok with the penalty, the red card was what got to me.
