great to see that womens football in australia has come such a long way, hopefully we cxan get a fully professional comp in place asap and play curtain raisers for the a-league rounds, is watch that......actually id pay to watch that

Actually Batty, we at Hindmarsh are spoilt as the Youth league play curtain-raisers for the " big " boys, and I'd prefer it to stay as it is.

But it's great the way women's football has improved.

If the Matildas posed for another nude calendar now it would be a massive top-seller surely.

So technically the Matilda's aren't the top team in Asia according to ratings but after beating Japan and DPR Korea to win I think we can say they are.

So now we have the best team in Asia in the Womens and Mens.

Excellent achievement to qualify for the World Cup because as Melissa Barbieri said today qualifying through Asia is only second to Europe as the hardest WC qualifying route.

I thought they might strugle a little. I'm glad they proved me wrong excellent result for Aussie football.
