Keep putting the Australians down, it works in our favour. They dont see us as a threat. I am starting to get a good feeling about the opening game. Not confidence really - just a feeling that the Germans dont rate us (like alot of FFT readers) and that just maybe we can spring a surprise.

Just like 4 years ago. Everybody is going to squash. Keep it coming. The more they thing we are shite the better.

I don't give us much of a chance. But we are paying $6.50 or so for a win against Germany. Might put some money on us haha

The more of this type of talk I hear the more confident I am that we can take something from the Germans.

It's interesting match up on a psychological, the Germans are ubber confident to the point of arrogance. The Australians on the other hand like the underdog status. I really think the psychological component of the Socceroos game will surprise the Germans who are used to teams being intimidated by them.

We looked to defend against NZ, why would anyone expect different tactics at the world cup? I don't think he is being arrogant or over confident, any more than the article is (probably) being selective with what to quote.

I really wish he had said it was Germanys "devine right to beat Australia" haha

Marko Marin is of Serbian background. The Germans are still the strongest team in the group and will go far. The round of 16 will see a cracker match whoever takes on England. And i have a feeling the English will stall.
