One of the biggest talking points in South Africa at the moment is not who will win the tournament but the balls that will be used at the World Cup.

Goalkeepers have expressed varying degrees of alarm over the adidas Jabulani ball but the new ball also brings challenges for players at the other end of the pitch.

"They are definitely a lot harder to anticipate," said Kennedy. "Obviously with the balls in the altitude, they dip and swerve a lot more. You've got to watch it right until it lands on your head."
