Just looking on the skysports site, they're reporting Walcott, Adam Johnson, Leighton Baines and Darren Bent are the ones missing out.

the squad according to the daily telegraph (possibly better to ask your dog, than believe the DT): Goalkeepers: Rob Green, David James, Joe Hart. Defenders: Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, John Terry, Jamie Carragher, Stephen Warnock, Matthew Upson, Ledley King. Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips. Strikers: Wayne Rooney, Emile Heskey, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch.

That's the same squad being reported by most news outlets. Except some have Dawson in place of Upson. Huddlestone will be sticking around in case Barry doesn't reach fitness.

Im not surprised about theo. He really needs to stay on his feet more. I swear he doesn't know how to slow down and not fall over himself or on other players... I've noticed oar has done that a bit :P
*waits on pim to announce his squad already*

No surprises at all there really. Though I'm not sure why he's picked Upson ahead of Dawson. And Heskey is bloody useless, but we've been saying that for yonks. I've never known a man to make a successful season work quite so long for them, it's been NINE YEARS now since he played well.

Wright-Phillips ahead of Johnson? Warnock ahead of Baines? Carrick ahead of anyone playing football? Bizarre.

Each of those selections has merrit.
SWP is a right winger, AJ left, and AJ is very young. He was only playing in the championship in January don't forget.
Warnock has more flexibility playing further up the left side and can play at right back in a pinch, not to mention had a great season. Baines was unremarkable.
Carrick...well, is in there basically because Hargreaves isn't.

I mean I'm happy about Warnock over Baines, but why not actually play the guy in friendlies leading up to the tournament? Wright-Phillips might be a right winger, but he's shit. Sure Johnson could play on the right too in a pinch and provide a spark.

As I said, five months ago, Johnson was playing in England's second tier, and now people say he should be going to a world cup? I don't think so. Not when you've got Young, SWP, etc who can play there.
Still surprised Young didn't make the cut tbh.
