The ball did appear to be doing some crazy stuff? I think they mentioned Schwarzer stayed on the pitch at half time getting some balls kicked to him from long range......anybody who doesn't shoot 10 or 15 metres from the edge of the penalty area with even half a chance is crazy!

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Struggling To Cope?
AUSTRALIAN goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer says the key to coping with new World Cup balls is to remain calm after admitting he struggled to deal with them during the 1-0 win over Denmark last night.

Have your say.

With the ball like this, would this favour the attacking side or the defensive side more??? any thoughts???

look at how high kennedy's header went when he score. lots of over hit passes, ball bouncing up a lot. like they were playing on the moon.

this is all done to have more goals scored.

The ball definitely seemed to fly further in the air than normal. Less air friction, thats why isn't it?

Bounced very high too, but that could just be the hard pitch.

actually its the ball also!. had the same sort of comments from keepers in the german league that the balls are unpredictable. they have been using them for 6 months or so i think!. i think this should be an advantage to the south american and african teams who like to take pot shot from all over the ground

Imnofreak it has much more to do with the air inside the ball rather than air-friction, hence the bounce, but it's the movement through the air which is a bit like a balloon that's the real issue.

IMO this will backfire and actually result in less goals!

I have to say I've only got one of the $45 replicas and it's a lot more unpredictable and lighter than any other ball I've used.
