Ah great, I knew I'd get a few idealist responses to that comment. Do you really want my opinion? Or are you just asking the question because you disagree politically? I really don't want a long, drawn out debate on this. Just accept my honest opinion and ignore please. Edited by socceroossupporter: 5/6/2010 02:17:52 PM

I would have preferred to have beaten them at full-strength. :) I'm actually quite happy now that the captain of England is ethnically British. HA good call
well is undoubtedly a major blow but it's probably best this happened now instead of a week into the tournament... Carragher, Upson, Dawson and King are the options, i don't think you can pick Upson as your number one replacement even if he did well with England in the qualifiers just look at his last 2 months for West Ham shows that he's a possible liability at the back... i doubt you'd find Dawson come instantly into the team ahead of Carragher and King when they were originally picked... it's Carragher v King for it, and i've put my loyalties aside and i'd say Ledley King probably (for the USA game) he gets the first nod for mine, Carragher and Terry are very similar sort of defenders, while Ferdinand and King play a similar positional game, to give that balance at the back i'd go King... If King doesn't look assured in the first two fixtures i think there's a case to play Carragher
Also Stevie's Captain now \:d/ \:d/ \:d/

Ballack, Drogba, Ferdinand, Essien WTF is going on. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Injury Forces Ferdinand Out? ONE day after his arrival in South Africa, England skipper Rio Ferdinand must prepare to fly home after he was ruled out of the World Cup with a knee injury.Have your say.
