Change it. James Spader <3 -PB That wasn't Spader at the start of the trailer talking about screaming people being beautiful, was it? Different person than "I am free" at the end? Yeah was Spader narrating the whole time. -PB

For every Loki or Alexander Pierce, there’s an Anton Vanko or Malekith - villains who may be a physical or mental match for their respective hero, but personality-wise aren’t memorable. The mark of a true villain is not to challenge the good guy, but also unnerve the viewer. They may be fictional, but you’d be lying to yourself if you said that a movie villain has never given you the creeps. Marvel’s bad guys have ranged from powerful, to greedy, to ambitious to vengeful, but none have ever been scary. Judging by this trailer, Ultron will change that next year. The Joker did that for me. -PB IMO Batman has the best rogues gallery for that kind of reason. Villains like the Joker, Riddler, Two-Face, Penguin, etc are not direct physical threats but psychological, manipulative ones that are more unpredictable and therefore interesting Much harder to defeat than the likes of the Mandarin, Whiplash etc

Ultron looks sick, think they need to mask Spaders voice a bit more. Might just be me, but the voice is almost a bit too human although, that might be how Ultron is, im not sure about the comic lore.

I watched Pinocchio with my daughter today and triggered a whole lot of repressed childhood fears of being turned into a donkey and locked away.

Gone Girl was interesting however a large suspension of disbelief is required.

If I ever see Gone Girl, it will be solely for Emily Ratajkowski. Please tell me she gets her kit off it in. At the very least some boobage.

In terms of movies and tv, there are just too many fanboys (of which arent particularly intelligent) these days on talking about these "popular" tv shows
I cant seem to find many people to talk to me about "Songs from the Second Floor" directed by Roy Andersson, a whole movie which is dedicated to be an exercise in Mise en Scene, or "Silent Light" a Mennonite movie (Matt Groening - the creator of "the Simpsons" is a Mennonite) which is spoken in Plaudietsch, where it uses amateur actors which purveys realism and the construction of time through experience
^ Nope, none of that!
. .. ...
Maybe that Sydney University Professor was onto something ... :-k

I recall listening to JJJ when Stan Lee was on, and all Stan would talk about was how keen he was for Ant-Man and how he thought it was one of his favourites.

I feel like Marvel has built up so much love for all these massive characters and that's all going to be torn down during this slate of movies

sydneycroatia58 wrote:I feel like Marvel has built up so much love for all these massive characters and that's all going to be torn down during this slate of movies  Agreed. Think it was easier in the beginning with multiple characters as the tie in was always going to be the Avengers, so it was a nice logical inclusion. Just think they're gonna have to have some really good writers to make sure there is no logical falldowns so to speak when it comes to cramming all of these heroes in one universe. Up until now, it felt so much more "believable" in a sense with just so few heroes (even with the God from Asgard and a big green angry fella). I think once we get to Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Black Panther etc territory it will just be too much. Happy to be proven wrong though. P.S. Is Avengers 3 going to be a two parter? -PB

Tipping Capt. America to die in Phase 3, Hulk to leave a la Planet Hulk storyline, Black Widow to be downsized, Tony Stark to die at the end of Avengers 3
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Do most of those characters need their own movie? Surely they can be in the avengers and cameo in other movies

Fury is an exceptional movie, one of the best war movies made

^ Another Richard Linklater film, but this time he takes A Scanner Darkly/ Waking Life mode (instead of School of Rock) where he explores some existentialist concepts through the period of a life lapsing. This movie exposes the fallibility, and the fatalism of life, this time there is no gimmickry of rotoscoping unlike A Scanner Darkly/ Waking Life
