Anybody answering other than Cahill or Schwarzer needs to think again.
If Kewell was in peak form then maybe I would agree he would go close. But now, no chance.

Schwarzer, closely followed by Cahill, then a massive drop off to everyone else.
Kewell being fit and influencing the team is more a bonus than an expectation, since he hasn't been part of the team for long stretches pretty much his whole career.
Think it's pretty ridiculous to include Grella and not Emerton in the poll options, Joff - having a laugh!

Schwarzer edges Cahill - Although I don't think Wilkshere, Emerton and Chipperfield are too far behind.

Schwarzer + Cahill. I don't think it's fair to split them.
Then MAYBE Kewell, but who knows right now?
After that... well, Culina, obviously.

Actually a lot can said for Lucas Neill being the main man...he is the key to the back four.

I agree Neil is a critical part of our backline. I would put him a clear third after Schwarzer and Cahill.
Agree with whats been said about Kewell.

Schwarzer for me, such an inspirational rock at the back. Neil being captain and all has to count for something, so i would put him on level terms with Cahill

Harry Kewell for me. He's Australia's greatest player of all time and can have so much impact on a game.
I just wish another Aussie could rise up as much as Kewell. :( Ballack really underestimated this guy.

Looking at the qualification and the games we'd have lost without Schwarzer's brilliance, it has to be him.

Our bench is going to be the important part of these games, who gets injected into the game and what they do. Other than Cahill I would not say we have any other starting player who will break a game open for us, we will almost certainly be relying on our bench to win or draw matches for us.

For me Cahill, Schwarzer, and then Culina. If Culina clicks and plays well, our whole team will play well as the ball between defence and attack is key. He's our man there and really can command the whole game. He'd easily be our most important player, but he has lost his consistency...

I say Bresces.
If played correctly he is the one who will be getting the ball to those in the know. played to deep and he will be a non-statt.
Bresces is an integral part of our team and has the best goal cellabration of all time.
I AM SPARTACUS!!!
