"Green Won't Let Error Haunt Him"... Yeah but the uk media will make sure you dont forget it! Poor bastard. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Green Won't Let Error Haunt Him? ENGLAND goalkeeper Robert Green insists he has the mental strength to bounce back from his goal-costing error in the World Cup opener with the United States in Rustenburg.Have your say.

Yup. That's the thing people will remember for the rest of their career about Green. They won't remember any really good saves he pulled off, or anything, it'll always be the save that cost them the 3 points against the United States, and possibly their downfall. Just like Divine Right said earlier - just like we won't and don't forget Kalic's howler against Croatia in 2006. Whenever people think of the name, they think - Played for AC Milan and made a howler against Croatia that had it not been for Harry Kewell, would have sent us out of the world cup.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

It will haunt you if that is your last appearance for England.
James to start the next game imo.

Kalac got the same treatment when he played bad against Croatia and we were bearly a football playing nation then. I can only imagin with Green is going to get from a football mad nation
these Kangaroos can play football - Ange P. (Intercontinental WC Play-offs 2017)
KEEP POLITICS OUT OF FOOTBALL

he shouldnt have played in the first place.
Joe Hart should be starting. I dont care if hart is on one leg, he is in fantastic form and is doing much better than fit green and james. After all james and green had shocking seasons and dont deserve to start

Poor guy. How humiliating. Now he will always be 'that guy who let the goal in in the opening game of the 2010 world cup'. I really feel for him.

Portsmouth had a shocking season yes, James' season was hardly shocking, he was probably one of Pompey most consistent players all season. Green didn't have a shocking season either just a bit inconsistent.
