I remember someone in here having a laugh that NZ had an unattached player in Elliot going to the world cup (and ignoring the fact that Craig Moore is in the same boat). Whoever it was own up!

Elliot looks to have a season or two left and would be a great signing for an A-League club (hopefully the Nix, might be the good distribution we need to get more chances to Ifill and Greenacre).

Bit harsh on Smith and too kind to Killen I thought

7 for Killen is a bit rich, i thought he was woeful. I always wondered why he could not get into the starting line up at club level, Smeltz touch was all over his. The Kiwi's kept going though, good luck to them.

Simon Elliot may be in his mid 30's, but that old bastard ran his guts out for 90mins and showed touches of quality. If he's off contract someone in the A-League would do well to sign him for a year.

Certainly an exponential increase in effort and mindset over the Socceroos.

Good to see the captain step up and help the team along - it's somethig neill needs to do. Can we see brown in the whites shirt in the next game?
