Having Rukavysta, Vidosic and Garcia in this squad have propelled him up the "worst players ever" list.

I mean...Garcia and Ruka ahead of Macca? Yeah, Holman is made to look better by them, but I can't deny that he hasn't been playing well the last few games. It's only taken him four years to find some international form...

Important member of the squad, he is the ideal player to play as the AMC in the formation due to his workrate and movement. End product might not always be there, but it's better to put yourself in the danger-zone and miss rather than not be there at all. He'll be an integral part of the roo's in the future with Emerton, Cahill and Bresciano all over 30.

He always was a good player and a valuable member of the squad.

He's defiantly improved several fold since last year. I think perhaps he seems to perform a bit better under pressure.

Good player, and I'm gald he's having a good World Cup. One of the players to build our 2014 campaign around, along with Valeri and Milligan.

He has stepped up when fans were asking why he was even there. That gets respect in my book.

I'm still feeling conflicted. Good finish last night, but there was a couple of stray balls that followed. He's definitely better than 12 months ago. Low base to come from though.

Quote:Good finish last night If there's one thing that wasn't, it was a good finish. It was point blank and he still nearly missed it

Still not consistent enough, but is improving. Needs to find a new club, and get more regular 90 minute game time, and the consistency will come.

So you'd be praising John Mensah as australia's best defender if he'd scored an own goal?

IMO what we need more than anything else is a genuine attacking centre midfielder, an Ozil or Sneijder, which Cahill definately is not, but that's where he plays..
