I have to say I surprised even myself with how much self-control I had tonight.

When Harry Kewell was red carded, I stood up and was seriously considering throwing the TV out my 4th floor apartment. Luckily, my good judgement took hold and I managed to safely sit back down and refrain from doing anything stupid.

When the penalty was converted, I picked up my glass and stopped myself before throwing it at the TV.

At half-time I went into my bedroom and gave the pillow a good pounding Rocky-style and managed to let out a few blood curdling screams that only woke up 'half' the neighbourhood.

When the final whistle blew, I managed to stop myself from putting a foot through my glass coffee table.

I must say, even though my hard-earned hopes and dreams for four whole LONG years came to an end in only 90 minutes at the hands of this undeserving African team and blatantly obvious conspiracy theory involving the Italian referee, FIFA, Pim Verbeek and the CIA, I must say I think I handled myself fairly well. I didn't kill anyone in a rage or anything.

The question is, did anyone else have the self-control I did?
