So Sutherland losing has opened up a gap of 6 points between them and 3rd but still 5 points to 5th place.

Only 4 points seperating 1st-4th with 5 rounds left it's gonna be tight.

Sydney United finally take advantage of the other front runners losing to be the only team in the top 5 to record a win and move into second just 3 points behind Bonnyrigg.

You've just priced Minis point point. Squandering opportunities on goal would count as choking.

my tip is Elsid would be up there, even though he miss like 5 weeks, he was red hot at the start of the season.

Also last night the re-scheduled match between Manly United & APIA Leichhardt was played at Cromer.

APIA Won 2-0 with penalties in either half from Rob Younis.

Not Manly's season.

Whats the deal on promotion relegation. I know it's decided at the end of the day by Football NSW depending on finances, and whether their home ground is half decent, however will it be just 1 team going up/down or 2. Personally from what iv'e read, Granville deserve to go up to. I say relegate West Sydney Berries and manly United or Sydney Olympic.

Why would Olympic be relegated? It goes by Club Championship, which means West Berries would be.

Also, all of Olympic teams from u13's to the reserve grade are in the top 5, it is only the first grade that is shit, and even so, they're not even bottom from the table. I don't understand what would make you think Olympic deserves to be relegated if they play out of a top field, first grade are not last, are not last in Club Championship, and is one of a very few Clubs to get good crowds

I would be very, very surprised if Manly get relegated this season regardless of their position on the table... They have the junior base, very well organised finances, top facilities (soon to be a synthetic pitch) and whatever else those clowns at FNSW deem to be the criteria of playing in this league...






Wrong and wrong... It takes into account where the 1st team finish. THEN they will look at the variable criteria.

Yes :) On the fnsw website, you can view the Club Championship, and West Berries are almost certain to be relegated.

Mate, if their 1st team finish outside the relegation zone AND they come last in the Club Championship they will still be in the NSWPL next year...

mate ,talking to an ex director of nsw soccer its 18s to firsts, last in championchip means relegation as long as all the other teams are financial and grounds are up to scratch

the way the points system is if they win 1st grade they wont be relegated

Thought so.

+ First Grade win gets 5 points
3 for reserves and 1 for 18's for the win.

So if a team won in first grade they would accumalate more then enough points to survive the club championship.

West Sydney are basically uncatchable in the relebgation spot, so they will be relegated most likely.

I'd say West Sydney Berries are favourites to finish bottom and then any one of the following in no particular order would be concerned; South Coast Wolves, Sydney Olympic and Manly United FC...

Hypothetical (big hypothetical!):
3 clubs...
A: 1st grade = last, 20's = top 3, 18's = top 3. Not in Club Championship relegation zone.
B: 1st grade = 2nd bottom, 20's = top 3, 18's = top 3. Not in Club Championship relegation zone.
C: 1st grade = 3/4 from bottom, 20's = mid table or below , 18's = mid table or below. In relegation zone.

Say for example team C is bottom of the Club Championship, you're saying they'll be relegated instead the team who finished bottom of 1st grade, because they're last in the Club Championship?

Also, lets remember, FNSW change there mind every year and can come up with bs excuses to relegate a club, or keep a club up.
