Not toooooo fired up I hope Timmy. We need all 11 on the pitch to pull this one out. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Cahill Itching For Return? SOCCEROOS star Tim Cahill is ready to return after his one-match suspension and is fired up to take on Serbia in Wednesday's must-win World Cup match in Nelspruit.Have your say.

From Sepp. "Group D is enacting project African progression with success. They will progress an African nation through to the final 16 through one or a series of decisions made by the match officials to influence the Germany Vs Ghana game positively in the african nations favor". See FIFA wants us to whoop the Serbians, they have already made Ghana the last African team standing, sorry Germany your out! Can't wait to see Timmy have a crack! He is a legend and so are the rest of the lads..except vin!

It would be good if Holman and Timmy could both start. And even if Vin does recover from his injury Valeri deserves to start ahead of him.

Isn't there a FIFA rule that there can be no domestic government interference with the operation of a national Football federation?
FIFA must want to be the only ones playing politics with the game.

Hmmmmmm, Hope Holamn does get to play with Holman. I would not be surprised with a more attacking game plan as Verbeek aknowledged he needs a 3 nil win.

Or Germany score 300 goals against a hapless Ghana. Which can and probably will happen after their humiliating loss to Serbia. then all we need is a win...
too easy..

If we beat Serbia, don't Germany just need to defeat Ghana by 4 goals? Hang on, wouldn't that make us equal with Ghana, and if so what happens then? I guess Germany beating Ghana by 5 goals will be best!

I guess Germany beating Ghana by 5 goals will be best! C’mon Germany…they know they need this win 3-0 for them and 2-0 for us with Holman scoring for us in the 93rd minute ahahahahaa C’MON!!!!!!!!! Hang on…let me think… That would leave Australia and Ghana both with a -2 goal difference Our head to head is a draw…BUT we would have more goals “for” by one so we’d make it Im gonna dream ahahaaaa Germany will win I think. I cant see them missing out on the next round. Its just that goal difference….. I also think we can win, but again, goal difference will hurt. If we beat Serbia 1-0 and Germany beat Ghana 4-0 then Australia and Ghana progressing is decided on by the flip of a coin…… Imagine the suspense on that coin toss……….

Unfortunately, at this stage it doesn't matter what Seppo thinks although it could have influenced the reds (including Klose's dont forget). But if Ghana win they are going through. doesn't matter what happens in our match. Only thing is that if Ghana dont win and Serbia does then ghana definitely miss out and the games are both played at the same time. So it is possible that as a safety, Serbia could get 3 reds and 2 penalties. So for once the cards might fall our way. Wouldnt count on it though. We have a Uruguayan referee. they have 4 years of hurt to inflict back on us!

After all Portugal did beat 7-0 so it is possible. I hope Germany mirror what Portugal did last night and we win 1-0 against Serbia would have us ahead of Ghana on goal difference.
I think if we are sitting on the same points with same goal difference, it comes down to number of Red cards and yellow cards.
Or Australia beating Serbia 5-0 with Cahill, Emerton and Holman all scoring, Vidic to handball as if he is playing AFL

No. It's been mentioned 1000 times on here it goes like this. Points, Goal Difference, Goals Scored, Goals Conceded, Head to Head results between the two teams and if they can't be split after all that it comes down to a drawing of the lots.

Drawing of the lots is laughable.
Cahill needs to be careful not to go in too gung-ho and make a silly tackle again. The ref will have one eye on him and we all know that the refs have been trigger happy this cup.
