GrouP A: Mexico to narrowly beat Uruguay, determined South Africans shock a demoralized France to grab second spot. Could happen!!

Agree with the other group predictions. Let's just hope we have some upsets and the 2nd round features NZ, Australia.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article World Cup Permutations?
WITH all teams having now played twice at the World Cup in South Africa, we review the eight groups and considers the potential last 16 line-up.

Have your say.

If we got through after all that's happened it will be a miracle. If NZ get through it will just be a miracle.
You watch them get stitched up by the ref and Italy get another soft penalty in their game.

Yeah, keep a close eye on any refs who seem to be helping the big Euro teams through...

Irish fans will be delighted if France go out. But Platini will be doing whatever he can to keep the dream alive.

Playing god with results.
It's funny that triesman was ostresised(Speeling I know) for his comments when the reality is that it's so blatantly obvious these games include of a "third team" if you will who will stop at nothing to win.

I just posted this somewhere else but the last coupla lines would be one amazing permutation indeed!!!!

C’mon Germany…they know they need this win
3-0 for them and 2-0 for us with Holman scoring for us in the 93rd minute ahahahahaa

C’MON!!!!!!!!!

Hang on…let me think…
That would leave Australia and Ghana both with a -2 goal difference
Our head to head is a draw…BUT we would have more goals “for” by one so we’d make it

Im gonna dream ahahaaaa

Germany will win I think. I cant see them missing out on the next round. Its just that goal difference….. I also think we can win, but again, goal difference will hurt.

If we beat Serbia 1-0 and Germany beat Ghana 4-0 then Australia and Ghana progressing is decided on by the flip of a coin…… Imagine the suspense on that coin toss……….

Nigeria need to win convincingly and hope Argentina beat Greece.

Sorry that's wrong. If Argentina beat Greece, Nigeria only needs to win. Even a 1-0 win will guarantee them a better goal difference than Greece and Korea Rep if they are all tied on 3 points.

I hope Nigeria advances over Greece. We are so better off with a Ghana win and I can see us beating Serbia, but missing out.

Algeria are not yet out of contention but need to win in Pretoria and hope for a favourable result in Port Elizabeth.

Wrong again. Its in Algeria's hands. Win by two goals and they're through.

^is correct, if that scenario happens every criteria between Australia and Ghana would be equal and the spot would come down to the drawing of lots to see who goes through.
