AFL is desperate and is struggling to understand why others around the world struggle to get into the sport. All the games in London and Dubai really havent raised any interest levels and truely were full of expats anyway. Going to a poor country and trying to dangle potentially rich sporting contracts in peoples faces is certainly what drives kids to want to follow this, not necessarily the game itself.
They are trying to push it down Western Sydney's throats and the GC is full of former Victorians anyway, so they really are not new fans. They really need to learn that the game is not the best game in the world and that it never will be.
