For me I think we could realistically see these:

Valeri to serie A is a must IMO definitely at that level.

holman possibly to Germany or dare we dream the EPL??:-$

wilkshire to EPL or other big euro club, easily EPL class

carney getting game time for his club at least if not a move to another euro league could happen

schwarzer, arsenal??

bresc i could see finding another italian deal for a year or two?

rukavytsa I reckon could get a few trials at some decent clubs, or just start getting first team appearances for his current club. Didn't play much but might have raised interest from clubs with his age

vidosic see rukavytsa

Some positive outcomes here possibly.

big ifs though a lot of them.

Agree on Valeri and Holman, and that Ruka and Vidosic just need game time.

Not so sure about the others though, especially Wilkshire in the EPL.

And what about Beauchamp, who should get a gig somewhere in Europe in my view, regularly too.

Although these weren't all in the WC shop window, I agree Joffa.

And a few weeks ago Spiranovic's club coach (name?) had praised his efforts in Japan, so hopefully that bodes well for some more first team game time.

Heart could make some instant dollars from selling a world cup player when they only paid for an Al Nassr player. IMO he should stay in the A-League and be Heart's captain until he retires. He could be like Heart's Muscat.

I think Wilkshire, Vido and Carney are likely to move.

Wilkshire definitely will get a move to a bigger club.

Carney will probably stay at FC Twente.

Ruka couldn't get a game for the team that came dead last in the belgian league. Expect a move to lower tiers in england.

Bresc is reportedly subject to interest from Birmingham :?

As for Valeri, he could well be headed for the italian top flight.

i thought wilkshire only just resigned with dynamo moscow. He is getting some serious coin in russia, so it would have to be a big move to tempt him.

How did Ruka not get a game for them, in his half a season loan he played something like 14 games (plus friendlies before playoffs) and scored in half of his league appearances.

staying in Russia for one more year would probably be good for Australia as he wont have the club/country concerns in January Asian Cup. (yes I know the European clubs will relase all their players without raising an eyebrow, McDonald choosing to train with Celtic over Asian cup was a freak exception, No other Aussie could possibly be pressured to play essential matches for their club)

Might move a little later but only for somewhere good. Although at his age, he should probably be playing at the best club possible. :-k

Wilkshire will definitely not be moving clubs - he's just signed a new contract and he's an important player for them. I can't read any Russian but I'm fairly sure he's a fan favourite too.

At his age, Fulham won't be able to reject a reasonable offer. Schwarzer's got 2 more seasons in the EPL and then I hope that he comes back to the A League.

^ Not sure coming back to the A-league when he's past his prime is a good idea. Unlike other outfield positions where a player can get by through positional sense and reading of play once a GK's athleticism and reaction speed goes then he's easily found out. A GK not in peak condition is a liability and would only hurt the club he represents and his own reputation.

PS. Here's hoping Holman and Valeri find a decent club after a decent showing at the WC.

Bresc has been linked with Fiorentina. I am pretty sure he would rather stay in Italy than play for city (I hope so, as I could not barrack against him......)

Italian clubs know about Valeri, and have still left him in Serie B. Time to go to a different league.

Holman should go to Germany or France, but only if he is going to get more minutes on the pitch tan he does at AZ.

Wilkshire tried England, and failed. He is a different player now, but I still think his name is no good in England. Another one that should move to Germany.

Shwarzy has told Fulham he wants to go to Arsenal.

Emmo has been told he is surplace to requirements at Blackburn, so will need to find another club, or get comfy on the pine. Again, go to Germany. His speed and athletism will be appreciated there.

Fuck it. Lets get everyone to Germany. I REALLY rate the Bundesliga. Highest attended league in the world. Highest scoring league in Europe. Fast paced, open, skillful football. Look at the youth coming through their national set up. All Bundesliga educated.

Has he really been linked with Fiorentina? Anything solid? good move if true.

Agree witb most of your comments, Bundesliga has really come on leaps and bounds over the past 5 -6 years, although the Aussies that have gone there haven't done too well.

The more recent Aussies in Germany have gone over from the A-League, or are fairly young and still developing. Most of the names mentioned on this thread are already established in Europe.

Fiorentina link for Bresc was from some website. I hope its true, but at this time of year, who can really tell what is true interest and what is just conjecture. But here is a link anyway.

Good point. There is no use them going to ManU, Barca etc. if they are not playing.
