I'm probably in the extreme minority here, but having three different characters in GTA V is really off putting for me. Just doesn't appeal to me at all.

GTA V hasn't actually been confirmed for the PS4 yet and not sure when/if it will. Worst comes to worst can always get a PS3, EB has got some great deals on them at the moment. For $288 you get a 500gb console plus GTA IV and Battlefield 3

Anyone played Last of Us on PS3 yet? Keen to hear about it - looking for an excuse to fork out $70 to get it.

It is labelled as the greatest game on the PS3.

Torchlight II, Rogue Legacy and Gunpoint are my must buys this time around. Plus whatever else pops up. Probably the GTA IV Complete Edition.

A definite, specially with the photorealism mods.

Yeah, I'm halfway through it on the 360, but haven't played it in like 2/3 months, so thinking I'll just buy the pack and start fresh. Those mods are definitely a big reason why.

Haven't bought anything in the sales yet. Hoping for a sale on Final Fantasy VII but I'm not counting on it as it's only just been released. Chances are I'll end up buying loads of games that are supercheap and end up taking months to play them. I still have a couple of games from the Christmas sales I've barely played yet haha.

Caved and got GTA IV complete edition and Just Cause 2 in the steam sales. I mean Just Cause was $2.99, how the fuck am I meant to resist that :lol:

Just Cause 2 is literally one of the most fun games I've ever played.

yeah it is amazing. I'm a huge fan of the uncharted series but this is even better. Without trying to sound like an ign circle jerk it really is the best game I've ever played on the PS3. The storyline is quality, graphics amazing but what really defines it is the way the characters develop as the game goes on.

I thought it was excellent, but all depends what you're looking for imo

Yeah I didn't end up grabbing it. It was 'still' 13 bucks, and I know I won't have started it by the next sales, when it'll be cheaper, so i decided to wait.

I am definitely buying GTA IV before the sales end.

So what's everyone picked up in the sales so far? I've picked up Arma: Cold War Assault, Arma Gold, The Bard's Tale, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, the two Foreign Legion games (which are terrible, the controls are horrendous), System Shock 2, Wanderlust: Rebirth and Wizord. Only spent about £15 so far. Would definitely recommend Chivalry and Wizorb. Chivalry is as the name suggests a medieval warfare game, first-person slasher so to speak. Wizorb is a classic Breakout-style game but it's tied into a classic RPG story. Very addictive.
