I find myself now just cruising through missions, but getting continually sidetracked. The last mission I did was the one where you get masks and smash the safety truck with the towtruck, and get swamped by cops.

How do people make money with their respective people? Franklin I'm OK with, he has the Lester assasinations. My Michael character has deadset $400 and that's it - and I can't find an easy way to make money with him.

What dog? Chop? I don't even bother with him since the app isn't fixed yet.

With the money bit, I just rob armored trucks a bit and also occasionally there's been a few dynamic incidents in which I've received quite a large amount of money from them, think it was designed so that heists would be the most appealing way to make cash, probably a few ways of going about it though. Online will insane being able to rob any bank at any time.

Yep, Lester assassinations I've been using the stock market for too and making around $20-50k per hit. Armoured trucks are pretty frequent and average around $6k. I've been saving a lot for property too so that there's some steady income coming in.

In one pop-up I returned a guys stolen bike and he emailed later saying that he owned a company on the stock exchange and had given me $100k worth of stock.

Can you setup heists on your own accord, or do you have to wait for missions to instigate them?

Seen a few people had this, waiting for it :lol: need the cash.

The social club should be up, or at least it was last night so Bawsaq should be back up which makes acquiring money a bit easier. If it's not I just go around robbing stores, armoured trucks and doing some taxi missions here and there.

So how do you play the stock market with the assasinations? Lester tells you to assassinate someone, you then buy stocks (of the rival of the guys you're killing?) and then sell stocks afterwards?

Can you start an assassination with Franklin, change character & buy stocks with him, then return to the assassination? aka make money for someone other than Franklin?

Social club went down again, wasn't working earlier when I tried it, was fine last night...

Haven't tried switching to another character, don't think you'd be able to as you would be on the mission already.

But yeah easy to make money on the stocks with those missions

Maybe try starting the missions to find out the name of the companies to sink money into, then fail the mission and exit rather than retry, switch between characters to invest the cash, then go back and complete the mission.

Ok so Black Ops 2 was the previous record holder for the fastest entertainment release to rach the $1bn mark. It did it in 15 days. GTA V hasn't just broken that record, it's completely obliterated it, reaching $1bn in 3 days.

The don bradman game looks good from the trailers I've seen, basically control one player (one you create) for 20 years and go from club cricket to test/one dayers, a lot of effort has gone into it, looks like it will kick Ashes Cricket 2013's ass

I went C. Will probably go back and do A and B eventually anyway.

Anyone else following these Steam announcements? With the steam box announced I think everyone is waiting and hoping to see if they pull out their big guns as exclusives to get a decent market share and for me personally if EA will move back to steam

Would be amazing, even just getting a Source 2 engine would be but most people are speculating it may be a lot less interesting with the last line of today's announcement being something about the last one being about an input.

People are saying a controller which I think would fall very flat as the last announcement you would expect it to be the biggest. On the other had announcing a controller first pretty much gives away that you are making a console.

It is so hard to look into though. Going off reddit speculation you have the image O+O which could mean a controller (duel sticks), some sort of Oculus rift integration, Source 2 engine or something that is related to the two previous announcements. Also the date (27/9) is 3 cubed and 3 squared, and if you look at Half life 2 the 2 actually is in a spot making it look squared. They have 4 massive titles all currently with two games in their franchise (Half life, Portal, Left for Dead, Team Fortress) so with such a focus on 3 they could be revealing that Valve can count to 3.

Well Source 2 and L4D3 are already pretty much confirmed.

I'm not sure if they'd have just a controller for the 3rd announcement, i think the 0+0 might relate to some sort of cloud/user sharing, from PC to Box, or whatever. But they are definitely working on a Controller as well.

Yeah but I think making it official and putting some kind of time frame on it would still be a massive announcement. I think when that came out they said something about of course it is in the pipeline but it does not mean they are really pushing it and it could even just be couple of developers working on it on their own.
